You x King of Forest Fairy Levi:
Your POV:
You knew someone was following you. You could feel it. The rustle of leaves felt too... accidental. You turned a few times but seeing no one. You signed and continue your way, convincing yourself that you are being too stressed out. That was why you came to the forest. To relax! Or...
Levi's POV:
Every since he met you in the forest, he was sure you could see him. Your eyes locked. He saw your pupils enlarged for a moment before someone called for your attention. "Y/N! We found the boy!"
You were one of the organisers for a children's adventure trip to a nearby forest in your community. One of the boys wandered off, and you had to look for the missing boy. When a wild monkey almost attacked you, Levi, the King of Forest Fairy, stopped its claws before they reached your face. He grabbed the monkey mid-air, and he swore, you saw him.
You:
You swore you saw him. You remembered the mirrored shock in his silverish blue eyes. His hair the shade of night. And he disappeared with the monkey.
He couldn't be a human. Nobody could move this fast to grab that monkey. You heard about people like him. Fairies, your grandmama used to call them. You came from a long and ancient line of witch blood. Your grandmama was the last one practising witchcraft. The magic stopped at your mom, but the blood was passed down.
And now you were certain he was following you every time you stepped into the forest. "Don't call out to them, the fairies," said grandmama, "they will take you away."
Levi:
Levi had been following you every time you came into the forest now. Hundreds of people walking in the forest every day but nobody had seen him until you. Or that was what he thought. He tried walking in front of you. He tried waving at your face. He even gently poked your shoulder. You turned, but you couldn't see him.
Levi signed loudly. "Tch! Dammit!"
You:
You reached a small river where you stopped for a moment when looking for the missing boy. You thought for a moment and decided to risk it. You dipped your palms into the icy water, scooped it up, and chanted something from your grandmama "clear water of river, clean these eyes of mine, make me see what my heart desires". You washed your face with that water.
Face still dripping with water, you turned, and saw the man who saved you that day walking away from you.
Levi:
Levi decided to give up when he heard you screaming "Wait!"
He turned and your eyes locked. He was stunned. You were looking at him. Your chest was heaving. Your face wet from the river water.
You screamed, "it was you that day, wasn't it? You saved me."
He exhaled a breath of released. Finally, someone sees me.
You:
The man blinked and he was right in front of you. He gave you a piece of handkerchief. "Wipe your face," he pointed at the water dripping onto your collar. The handkerchief smelt of various herbs as you wiped it over your face.
"H-how? How can you see me?" He asked.
You told him about your witch lineage. He nodded, "maybe that's why..."
You asked for him name. Levi, he said.
"I'm..." "Y/N."
"How'd you know?" "Your friend called you that day. It's dangerous to have your real name being called in the forest. Fairies might steal it."
You studied him for a moment. His ears were pointy. His eyes were shimmering unnaturally. "Are you a fairy?" You asked.
Levi:
He was shock. He thought it was obvious. But he nodded anyway.
You asked if he would take you away. He chuckled, "maybe yes, maybe no. We don't take humans anymore, actually."
"Wait, there's more of you?" You asked.
"Yes, but mostly I hang out with Furlan and Isabel."
"Can I meet them some day?"
"You know what will happen if you come back again?" He asked.
"What?"
Levi moved closer to you, "I might have to take you away before other fairies noticed you. As my bride."
