You don't really think about how much of the human body becomes shrapnel went it explodes until you're picking the teeth and bone fragments out of your skin, or how much of another person's life you end up washing down the drain after any conflict.

I just tossed them on the ground. Maybe I should have held on to them; they were a person once.

started getting emotional about leona as a character again. it’s getting close to the one - year of me actually liking him ( yes, i started writing him when i still hated him lol ). i’m thinking of epel’s birthday interview and how epel calls him a reliable leader and says that he’s good at taking care of people. i’m thinking of the way he looks out for the first years except ace. i’m thinking of how he projects this complex he has with himself and his brother onto so many characters — his brother onto malleus and jack, himself onto ace and idia and vil. 

and i’m thinking about how smart he is and how much good he could do, and how much good i think he will do as this plot continues. he’s already grown so much, but in his own way. he’s not riddle or vil, who have done what they can to openly atone and move forward. but he’s not azul or jamil, who have shoved everything so far down that they’ll just have to deal with it later. instead, he’s growing but not drawing attention to it. he’s stepping up and leading and caring, but it’s not something he’s painting as changing because he’s learned anything — because that’s not the type of person he is.

anyway i just love him. he’s such a fucking mess. he’s an absolute wreck. but there is so much to him. [ projects more of me from the tangled the series ending onto him ] [ you are all powerless to stop me ] [ my agenda grows ]
