The weather was less than ideal, and had it not been, she probably wouldn’t have stopped. Storms would have been nothing, but the heat - she had no clue what the exact temperature was, but it was surely record-setting - couldn’t be walked off. Raven had picked up hitchhikers before, on longer trips where the radio wasn’t quite enough to fill the silence, and rarely were they pleasant company, but to drive by the lone soul by the side of the road would feel a touch too close to murder by inaction.

Begrudgingly, she halts at his side, lowering a window.

“Need a ride?”

I’ve Lost The Meme But It Was A Sentence Starter

“We could have, couldn’t we?”

It’s more a statement than a question, and it’s spoken casually, with leisure, in that most adult of ways -- over the rim of a glass of wine. Intense as his manner typically was, she couldn’t always keep up with him. To recline and indulge could be even more complimentary, at times. 

A pause is taken, not for visualization -- she’s imagined it before, a hundred times, a world dismantled and made new, a world made equal, a world made safe -- but to consider her next words. As possible and as righteous as it once felt, it’s long since seemed impossible. More than that, perhaps not as righteous as she’d intended. Yellow eyes rise from the stem of her glass to the harsh, but perhaps nostalgic, blue-gaze of her companion. 

“I’m not sure it would have been an ideal outcome. The best intentions and the highest ambitions can destroy people, can’t they? Where would our empire have been, if we become people other than ourselves?”

Salt Meme♒ THOUGHTS ON THE FANDOM YOU’RE CURRENTLY RPING IN?

It’s alright, I guess? My tumblr rp life hasn’t exactly been spent in tons of fandoms, so I don’t have much to compare it to. In any group as big as this the m c u / comics you’ll get the occasional pompous people and constant battling of aesthetics, which all sucks, but I’m not sure if it’d be fair of me to fault the fandom. 

I will say there’s a lot more ignoring/dismissing/etc of lady characters, despite all the talk to the contrary, and a lot of ‘X is good and Y is shit’ in regards to characters/groups/pieces of applicable media, which can come across as pretty cliquey although I haven’t had much personal trouble with it. Taking personal feelings about the actor and projecting them onto the character seems to happen a lot. I dunno, it’s hard to judge a fandom as BIG as the Marvel one has gotten. In my experience, a 7 or 8 out of 10.
