You know that article where some guy died choking to death in a restaurant or fast food restaurant that was super crowded on his food because he was too mortified to signal to ask for help.

I was literally in the fanciest restaurant of My life at a table full of Old, OLD and Rich fucking family members of mine. I was 18 at the time literally probably the youngest person in the restaurant by literal Decades(I mostly saw 50-60's but a Lots of old people maybe 40 if I'm generous with a few people and excluding workers), I worked at McDonald's. These people I was surrounded by were going on annual Cruises and buying Houses, Nice houses to renovate. making it seem like my monthly paychecks were pocket change they get daily while I struggle to get by, I felt like I was fucking in another world and a complete outsider.

So anyway back to the topic, I was silently choking on steak terrified to ask for help or make a scene as I was 3ft from my Grandparents for maybe a solid minute or two. I would've rather died than draw attention to myself, I eventually managed to swallow it down and kept calm and no one even noticed and I pretended this shit never happened. But Dog I was terrified I was gonna die, and the first thing I thought of was that dude that died and I thought. "i so fucking get it."

Any way that was like... September last year, or 9 months ago. Ain't my first brush with death definitely won't be the last.
