Can you help I’m feeling discouraged because I feel like bellarke is never gonna happen and a lot of the fandom shits on my ship how do I stay hopeful

Guide to Being a Zen Bellarke Fan

1. Follow/Block the Right People- I feel like it’s pretty easy on Tumblr to create your own fandom bubble. Follow people who have similar opinions to yours, and don’t follow people who who post things you don’t want to see on your dash. Pretty simple. Also BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK people who are offensive, save yourself the trouble.

2. Don’t Listen to Antis- Again, BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK. Anti’s breed negativity and there’s literally no rhyme or reason to it. I know it seems like a lot of people don’t like our ship, but luckily a lot of people DO like it too! Like a huge majority of the current viewers actually ship Bellarke. Don’t get too down over opinions that are different then yours, especially when some of the time they’re based on a foundation of ignoring canon fact. They don’t decide what’s on screen.

3. Don’t Listen to Cast Members- I love our cast, I do, and I really don’t think they “hate Bellarke,” but they are not shippers like us. That’s not their job. Odds are a cast member will say something that’s a personal opinion or even say something jokingly and it’ll be taken way out of proportion. Just ignore it. THEY DON’T DECIDE WHAT’S ON SCREEN.

4. Don’t Listen to Jason- I... Look Jason actually does decide what’s on screen, but he’s notorious for being contradictory and vague in interviews. If it stresses you out, do yourself a favor and IGNORE IT. The text is the only thing you can trust at this point, I’m sorry. It’s a crazy world out there.

5. Take a Note From Bellarke and Balance Your Head and Heart- Love Bellarke, get excited! But also remember what show you’re watching. If you get caught up in fandom hysteria and go into an episode thinking Bellamy and Clarke are going to have a 20 minute long picnic date in the middle of a war... you’ll be disappointed. Don’t set yourself up for disappointment.

Anyways nonny, I don’t think you need to worry about Bellarke happening in general. I honestly don’t think the show could end without it happening, there’s been too much evidence of the opposite. But will it happen this season? I don’t know! Nobody will know until it happens. (Thanks Jason.) Grrr

But for reference when the fandom inevitably freaks out going forward into angst territory... 

Things to Keep In Mind This Season

1. Dramatic/Intimate Reunion- Ugh, you guys we got a 2 part reunion. It was really dramatic and extra, and then so quiet and gentle. How on brand of them! This was definitely the most intimate reunion out of the bunch, and in my opinion the most intimate bellarke scene ever?? It was so clear how much they care about each other in those quick scenes, which tells me their feelings for each other won’t be the problem at all. The way they lead, and the decisions that they make will. But I have no doubt that they’ll overcome this, we’ve watched them do it before!

2. “Hostage Taker and His Girlfriend”- Hellooooo first undeniable acknowledgement of non-platonic feelings between Bellarke ever. It’s not like this is a super common romantic/friends to lovers trope or anything. *shrug*

3. Antonio Negret Is Directing!- I haven’t seen anyone talk about this in a while, but Mr. Negret will be directing ep 5x08! (I think that’s what our fandom detectives decided.) He’s famous for his romance scenes that’s all I’m saying. He specifically tweeted Eliza and Bob with some winky faces THAT’S ALL I’M SAYING.

4. Marie Knows- We’re 100% reading too much into this interview, but Marie outright said she knows whether or not Bellarke will happen and she’s not allowed to talk about it. This implies that 1. there’s something to know, and 2. she’s literally been forbidden from talking about this subject at all because she always says too much. I don’t know this is a very different answer from “you never know” I’m just throwing that out there.

5. “Romance Twice”- We all know this by now, but Lindsey said that either her or Bob will have romance twice! I don’t see Murven happening, at least any time soon, so??? We’re not left with so many options folks.

6. Figuring Out What It Is- We have multiple quotes from Jason and Eliza saying that Bellamy and Clarke will have to figure out what they are to each other, which is like??? They’ve never been in a position where they were forced to acknowledge the implications of what they feel for each other. So what will the nature of their relationship be after that hm?

7. Angst/Turbulence- These are definitely some scary words, but every time I see them I can only think of Hakeldama. Why do so many people love Hakeldama? Because it’s raw. Because it’s HONEST. Angst brings emotions to the surface, and gosh all I want is for them to be PAINFULLY HONEST WITH EACH OTHER... about... feelings and crap. Give it to me.

8. The Ending- The ending has been talked about by Jason, Eliza, and Bob! So no matter what happens, we’ll be okay by then. Very possibly much more than okay based on these first 4 episodes, but you know. A very good rule when watching this show is, don’t judge anything too much until the end! Generally a lot of things make more sense when you’re looking at the story as a whole. None of us saw the Praimfaya bellarke content coming, just saying.

I'll be honest. I don't trust Erik to not be trolling at this point. I really want to feel like he's trying to tell us Beth is alive without TPTB catching him. But I personally feel he enjoys this game of toying with Beth fans.

That's totally fine for you to feel that way. I know everyone needs to go about this different ways. For me, the thing is...Jensen is not the only evidence we have. He's just a bonus. And I don't think he understands the depth of fandom enough to be on the team delusional tags and stuff and making an evil plot to come up with things to say to mess with Beth fans. I think he's a noob and he's excited and maybe his character is already dead so he figures he'll push the boundaries a little bit haha.But sure, you could be right and he could just be a huge douche lol. I'm really not thinking so though. And again, his tweets are not nearly the only things we have to base our belief on.
