Thoughts: Pt. 1
You ever look around at the people you surround yourself with, and wonder, “How in the hell am I friends with you? What in GOD’s creation do we have in common?!?”
It’s an issue I run into quite often, because I happen to have very much old-school principals, values, and moral beliefs; and most if not all of the people I consider friends have a very liberal, new-age world view. But what's a guy like me to do? It's either I befriend those who believe differently than I do, or I become a very lonely person; because people who see things the way that I do are generally 15+ years older than me, and I'm sorry, but I'd really prefer to hang out with those of my own age (if, indeed, I decide to hang out at all).
Truly, my music preferences, political views and religious beliefs put me in somewhat of a unique clique. The only people I've met whom I could ever say that we think alike really are in their mid to late 40's. So while we may have similar interests, they usually only see me as just some dumb kid: not a fun group to hang around.
So anyways, I guess really this was just me riffing about how much I'd love to meet some people. Therefore, if you're in your 20's to mid 30's; Love GOD, guns and prog music; like nothing more than a long drive and a nice chat about whatever comes up, give me a holler sometime.
(Yeah, I know, I just totally used a post to petition for new friends: sue me)
