“Is that my shirt?” Jace arched an amused brow, watching Clary with something of a hungry gaze. 

His presence startled her, and she jumped up nearly half a foot. “Jace,” She breathed, wheeling to face him, suddenly conscious she was wearing only his sweatshirt and lacy panties. Her red hair fell in untamed tumbles around her shoulders and down her back. “You--what are you doing here?” 

“Luke let me in,” He shrugged, stepping into her bedroom with ease and shutting the door behind himself. Clearly, Luke didn’t feel the need to warn Clary when he let her boyfriend in. “It looks good on you.” 

Clary tugged at the hem, and then sighed. It was no use trying to cover up--the sweatshirt was large enough it covered all the important bits, and Jace had seen her in worse. “Do you want it back?” She asked softly.

He’d lent it to her a few nights ago when she’d got caught in the rain on her way to training at the Institute and she hadn’t gotten around to giving it back just yet; mostly because she didn’t really want to. 

Jace let out a soft laugh, brushing her hair out of her face with cool fingers, almost subconsciously. “Not at all,” He grinned. “While I think we both know that I look good in just about everything....you, Clary Fairchild, look gorgeous. Especially in that sweater. In fact, I wouldn’t care if you never took it off.” He hesitated, his fingers playing at the bottom hem of the shirt. “Actually,” he ducked low, his voice a heady murmur in her hears. “Scratch that. Feel free to take it off.” 

Clary rolled her eyes, but she sagged against Jace, letting him support her weight. She’d been having vivid nightmares about Valentine and Sebastian recently, and she’d barely slept. 

Jace seemed to notice her distress, taking her easily into his arms, where she fit best. 

“It’s a comfort thing,” Clary admitted, mumbling into Jace’s chest. “It smells like you, and--and reminds me of you. And it makes me feel--”

“--like getting naked?” 

“Safe,” Clary finishes, unable to fight the small smile playing at her lips. 

Jace stills at that, and she realizes that confession meant more to him than anything else she could have said. After everything with Lilith, all Jace wanted was to know Clary still felt safe around him. 

“I make you feel safe,” He repeats, in a quiet tone. There is something like awe in his voice. 

She stretches up on her toes, wrapping her arms around his neck and pressing her nose into the hollow of his throat. “Yes,” She replied simply, feeling a sense of peace wash over her as she settled against him. “Yeah, Jace. You make me feel safe.”

Clary turned as Jace practically stormed into the living room, his arms folded over his chest. 

“Well?” She prompted, unable to hide her smile. “Let me see!” 

Jace glared daggers at her, but unfolded his arms to reveal the scripted writing on his black t shirt “Clary’s Husband”. The shirt had a little graphic of a wedding band on it, although no rings would be present at their traditional shadowhunter ceremony. 

She squealed in delight and clapped her hands together. “It looks great!” She compliments warmly. “Do you like it?” 

Jace’s frown fell as he took in her excitement, and he rolled his eyes with a sigh. “I think you look adorable when you smile like that,” he said almost begrudgingly. “And...I suppose I don’t hate it.” He looked down at himself, hiding his grimace. 

“Good. Because I’ve got a matching one!” Clary opened her jacket to reveal a shirt that said Jace’s Wife. Upon seeing it, Jace’s eyes widened, and then a pleased sort of look came over his face. 

“Well?” She arched a brow once again. “Awesome right!” 

“Actually,” Jace stalked towards her like a predator towards it’s prey. “As cheesy as we both look right now,” he cupped her face in his hands and kissed the tip of her nose. “I actually do like seeing Jace’s Wife right there on your chest,” He sounded quite pleased with himself. 

Clary couldn’t even begrudge him that little possessive side he sometimes showed around her. “I like seeing Clary’s Husband on yours,” She admitted cheerily, “And these are just perfect for our rehearsal dinner. Totally casual, burgers and fries, matching t shirts..it’s just what I wanted.” 

“You mean the rehearsal rehearsal dinner,” Jace corrected, tugging her into his arms. “Magnus would kill us if we didn’t have a proper cocktail party tonight...” 

“Yeah, but that’s later,” Clary waves her hand dismissively, snuggling further int Jace’s chest. He smelled good, a bit like leather and spice. It was a familiar smell. “First, we have the burgers. Then we wear the heels.” 

“You got it. Though I didn’t know it was a heels-only party. I’m not sure Izzy has a pair that will fit me..” 

“Magnus will,” Clary chimed, going along with the joke. Jace poked her in the ribs just to hear her giggle. “I’m glad you liked the t shirt. Or tolerated it, at the very least.” 

“Mm,” Jace sighed. He never really learned how to say no to Clary. “Do I get my say in what we wear next? Because I think panties with property of Jace on them could be a good next step--”

Clary danced out of his arms, laughing as she went. “I bet you’d love that.” 

“Yes,” Jace nodded, in false seriousness. “I would.” He gave her a look that told her he was picturing that particular get up on her in that very moment. 

“Behave, husband,” she stuck her tongue out at him. The doorbell sounded, and Jace sighed. Unfortunately, his plans would have to wait until later on tonight. “We have guests!”  

With that, Clary swung open the front door and their friends and family poured in, ready to celebrate.

Hey, could you please write something where Jace falls sick (stomach flu or a bad cold, maybe?) and Clary has to take care of him while he acts stubbornly? Thank you!

“You’re sick,” Clary wrinkled her nose, eyeing Jace from head to toe. He was clad in his usual black-on-black with his leather jacket, but his nose was red, his golden eyes were puffy, and his shoulders hunched with a kind of exhaustion. 

“Am not,” He puffs his chest up, side stepping her to enter her bedroom at the institute. “I just came to–” he cuts off, a fit of dry sounding coughs over taking him. 

“Jace,” Clary frowned, stretching up on her toes to press a hand to his forehead. “You’re burning up. You’ve got a fever.” 

Jace caught her wrist in his slender fingers, gently tugging her hand away. “Don’t worry about me,” He insists, “I’m fine.” 

Clary knew just how stubborn Jace could be when he wanted to be. She crossed her arms over her chest. “You should lay down for a bit. Are you hungry?” 

“Not hungry,” Jace hummed, drawing her close. “At least not for food..”

Clary blushed a bit as she always did when Jace looked at her with that gaze, but once again, his coughs ruined the mood. 

“I’m not kissing you,” She wrinkled her nose delicately. “You can lay down in my bed, and I’ll make you a tea and read to you while you get some rest.” 

Jace narrowed his eyes at her, but when he sneezed three times in a row, he threw his hands up in the air in defeat. “Fine,” he muttered. “Leave it to me to date the most stubborn person on the planet, besides myself.” 

She threw him a warm smile on her way out, and returned minutes later with a steaming hot cup of herbal tea, infused with something Magnus promised would ease Jace’s symptoms and help him get the rest he needed. 

It wasn’t common for shadowhunters to catch colds, but it could happen, and Jace had been working himself extra hard lately, training late into the night. 

“Jace,” Clary murmured, walking back in. When Jace didn’t immediately answer, she tip-toed towards her bed, smiling softly when she saw only a mop of blond hair emerging from her duvet. Jace always liked napping in her bed for the same reason she liked napping in his–her bed smelled like her, and Jace’s bed smelled like Jace. It was comforting. “Are you awake?” 

He didn’t reply, except for a soft snore. She sat down on the edge of the bed, careful as to not disturb him, and raked her fingers through his blonde curls. 

“Sleep,” she whispered, pressing her lips to his hair. “I’ll be here when you wake up.”

Moonlight Here!

I have been doing a flurry of reading! Literally. All I've been doing lately is reading books so that I can offer more categories to you guys for myself. I noted that someone had an interest in some Infernal Devices fics. And I have not read that series yet. But I have it in my library and it is on my list. 

I however did just finish the Blue Bloods Series by Melissa Dela Cruz. and I would be very interested in writing fics for the following ships from that series.

Sorry posts are lacking lately. There's a lot to do in the life of a college student. I'm trying to make it work but sometimes life becomes more important than the things you do for fun. I have a break soon though and I will try to do some stuff for you guys then! Alrighty! Until then keep sending me prompts to play with. 

-Because of high amount of prompts. Expect long fics with more prompts included. I will try to get to some sexy Clace for you guys when I have free time too because that's a commonly asked for thing. :)

"No." Jace says firmly, giving Clary his very best, 'dont push me on this' look. "It's too dangerous, Clary. I won't allow it."

"Allow it?" Clary grimaces, her instinctive teenage harmones flaring up at the command. "I'm sorry, Jace. I must not have gotten the memo where you suddenly became in charge of everything I do."

"Clary." Jace pinches the bridge of his nose, squeezing his eyes shut. "Please don't be difficult. We're talking an entire clan of vampires here." he says with passion. Clary can tell how badly he just wishes she'd stay home, where she'd be safe, but Clary wouldn't let him go alone. With Alec on honeymoon with Magnus, and Izzy refusing to come out of her room to speak to anyone, he was on his own.

or maybe not.

"Simon is my friend. I'm sure we won't even have to kill anyone." Clary protests, sticking her nose up. "We just have to convince him we're not mad for the whole eloping with Isabelle thing and I just know he'll come right back."

"But I am mad." Jace opens his eyes. "I'm very mad, actually. That was so stupid of them, leaving us all here worried sick. And what the hell with eloping, anyways! We all supported them! Even Magnus and Alec had the deccency to have a nice, famliy orriented wedding."

"Well if you tell him that he'll never come back. And he's my friend. My best friend. He'll litsen to me." Clary looks earnestly up at Jace. "Please. Just please let me go with you."

"I can't watch you get hurt again, Clary." Jace shakes his head fiercly. "Not after what happened the last time."

Oh. Clary remembered with clarity what happened the last time she was brought on a hunt. She'd had her leg snapped like a twig beneath her.

And even though it hurt like hell, it was nothing compared to the pure agony on Jace's face. He's been beating himself up over it everytime he saw clary walking with her crutches, or asking for help standing up. She even had a wheelchair at first, but now, she's all healed up, and ready to help her friend.

"It wasn't your fault. I shouldnt have gotten in the way." Clary assures him gently, placing a hand on his forearm. "I'm a Shadowhunter too, Jace. And I don't want to be a damsel in distress anymore. I'm healed, and I want to go."

Jace avoids her eyes. "If you get hurt again, Clary...I don't know if I can.." he sucks in a deep breath. "By the angel." he curses, when he turns back to see his girlfriend, his weakness, staring up at  him with earnest and pleading eyes. He turns his back sharply to her and she wraps her body around him resting her chin on his shoulder.

"Jace." She whispers, her breath fanning over him. "Please? Pretty please with a cherry on top? I promise i'll behave."

Jace only sighs, turning and holding her tightly. "Clarissa Fray." he mutters, breathing in the familar smell of her shampoo. "You'll be the death of me."
