I just.. I just need to share my WTF moment today. Me: Watching a Turkish soap opera about the Sultanate of Women in the 16th century. Person in the comments: Why is [character] wearing that [thing that looks like a cross between a headband and a tiara]? She's a concubine.. Me: I think it's meant to be a French hood. Second person: @[me] She's not French

I get it #not everyone knows what a French hood is #especially if they don't ever look at historical fashions of the 16th century #but for fuck's sake #it's clearly a piece of clothing or costuming #and I say that IT is an attempt at representing something with a country's name in it #the character's nationality doesn't fucking matter!
