Friend: Can I borrow a pen?
Me: Sure! Do you want fine liner, gel, ballpoint, fountain, or calligraphy?
Friend: uhh...
Me: Also, what colour? I’ve got practically every colour under the sun in fine liner, but your options get a bit more narrowed down to red, blue, and black in the other ones.
Friend: I-
Me: How thick do you want the line, by the way? 0.35, 0.5, 0.7, 1.0? I probably have some other ones too, if you need something in between.
Friend: Wha-?
Me: Also, do you prefer your pens on the thinner or thicker side? With or without a grip? I’m probably getting ahead of myself there if you want to use the fine liner pens, but comfort is a key element in the pens I use most often!
Friend: ......uh, do you have any like...~regular~ pens?
Me:
Me: Yeah! So, do you want a thick or thin base for that one? Also, grip or no grip? And you still haven’t told me what colour you need. I have the most in black, but-
Friend: *snatches first pen they see* OH MY GOD PLEASE I JUST NEED A PEN!
