Is it an autism thing to have a really quiet 'head voice' (like the one you get when you think) that when people talk or you listen to anything or there's any noise that's slightly Too Loud just gets completely overwhelmed and kinda muted by them and you can't think or read properly and it's super hard to process things properly especially your own thoughts. (Not sure if you tag these kinda things but can you tag this as from @on-the-brink-of-a-meltdown because it's my sideblog)
Yes it is. I like how you described it :>. -Mod Birb
iiaat to be really bad about responding to texts/emails? I have weeks/month old messages that I purposely haven't opened so they can't see that I've read it, and it's over an uncomfortable topic that I don't know how to respond to, so I'm ignoring it. Also sometimes I ignore them indefinitely? There's a club I got pushed into joining but independently decided I didn't want to be a part of anymore, but I couldn't bring myself to tell them that, I just withdrew myself from all activity. 1/
“But they kept sending me emails telling me that they need a response and I had to go to a mandatory event, and I just ignored it bc I couldn’t reply. I have trouble with professional emails, too. Eventually my professor emailed me saying that I was being incredibly unprofessional and rude and that I must reply to them. I ignored that for a while too because I had no idea what I would possibly say. I do this so much. iitaat? 2/2“
It could be as I know several other autistic people (including myself) that do this. The only problem is that many NT also do this as well, even professors (at least the ones at my university), and so it may just be a trait that many people could have regardless of autism.
Hope this helps,

I remember people I've served at work really well and I also remember certain situations/events but not everything (ie don't know my phone number). Is this an autistic thing or just not? Thank you :)
Memory is a complex issue in autism and affects us quite differently. With that being said, some autistic individuals do have trouble with rote memory (phone numbers), although some do not.
Hope this helps,

Iiaat to really want to share your favorite things with people? Like, not physical favorite things, but like favorite music, favorite shows, games, etc., and not with just any people, really only the people I'm close with. It also goes beyond infodumping because I do that too, but I also just have the overwhelming urge to SHARE, like I have to have them watch it or listen to it or read it and I'll keep asking and even being forceful and I know it's annoying but it's such a powerful urge!
I’m not sure, but I do this too. It would make sense though. -Mod Birb
