Ren started giggling, right up until the moment he realized the other boy was serious. He sobered up immediately. “I-I’m sorry. I thought it would be fun.” He shook his hair out. He wouldn’t do it again. With suddenly nervous fingers, the elf ran a hand through his hair. “So will you? Will you help me?” He had had an idea and he wanted to try it out, but he would need help. And since he no longer had a roommate, he had asked more or less the first person he came across that he knew somewhat.
Tilting his head back, he sported a disgruntled double chin for a glorious half-second as his calmed his heart. This effort came out as a rasp, like his soul leaving his body because jesus he hated being scared. With a sigh, he rubbed at his neck and squinted, adjusting his bag with his other hand to situate it properly after swinging about like an idiot. “Help you with what?” He ignored the apology, not fond of them in general, and straightened his shirt, slowly reorganizing his dignity.
