With the help of the high Sparrow, Lord Baelish and others, they fabricate a case against the Night Watch incriminating them in witchcraft, profiteering, embezzlement and extortion.

After dissolving the Night Watch and tortured every brother the Crown caught, Lord Mormont is publicly executed in King’s Landing where he curses Joffrey, Petyr and the Sparrow to be dead within a year.

A few remaining undercover brothers (Jon among them) will see the curse is fulfilled, making them go one by one without revealing their existence.
