I’ll Always Find You Pt.1 || Self-Para
This was something she could work with. She could wonder a half mile checking every house and building in the area and seeing if it had Catie in it. She'd do it no problem. The issue was everyone else saying she was to emotionally involved to be able to do anything.
Dylan was the only one who seemed to understand. He held onto Nora as she cried for the 100th time in the past couple days cursing herself and everything around them for the fact that Catie had been taken. He rubbed her back shaking his head.
"You really need to sleep Nor. You're really sleep deprived." He said. Nora shook her head and held onto her friend. He sighed reaching behind him to grab a small siringe, moving to take her arm. It was filled with a liquid form of Flexrol to make the girl relax and sleep for a while.
"I can't sleep Dyl. I just can't." She was shaking her head eyes clenched shut and crying. He held her carefully before injecting her with the medicine. She instantly felt it. The medicine kick her ass quickly making her sleepy. She felt her eyes starting to close only ten minutes later. "I can't...just let her go Dyl...I love her...I have to find her..." She said before her head hit Dylan's lap and she drifted off into a deep sleep.
She had slept for almost 24 hours. How she had managed to do that she wasn't really sure. But when she woke up it was the 6th, and it was breakfast time. It was really quiet. To quiet honestly. It worried her, when she made her way out to the investigation area there weren't many people around, but the cameras told her they were out searching and gathering information.
Nora let out a sigh and sat down shuffling through the information gathered in the time she was gone. It was during this time that her phone rang. An unknown number. She answered it.
So I'm ten steps ahead of you. How surprising Miss.Pond. How surprising indeed. How was it fooling around with those girls knowing your little toy was being held hostage? Did you have a nice sleep? Your men are wondering around my area, but they're not going to find your little toy. She's not near here at all. In fact, I'm not sure you'll ever find her...at least not until you agree to give up the hunt for those paintings..and anything that has to do with me.
Nora tensed up at every word, her chest hurt at the words. She tried to speak but he spoke over her. He had her. She knew he did, but hearing it? Hearing it for real? She knew she was screwed. She knew Gefforey was a man of talents and money, but could he really make a girl vanish? How did he know what she had been up to? Did he have a spy near her?
You're worried she's dead now aren't you? She's not. Don't worry I'm not that horrible of a person. I just want to be left alone to do as I do. Is that really to much to ask from you and your dogs? It must be since they're still wondering around here. How about if I let you hear her voice? So you know she's safe?
Nora sucked in a breath as she heard the phone move, the sounds of the ocean in the background, birds chirping, a door opened and then closed. Metal. She could hear that.
Nora? Nora? Oh my god Nora. I'm okay, I'm okay. But don't give him what he wants. His people are assholes they don't deserve anything and I'll be fine! I can get free even if I do feel a bit seasick. Don't worry I--
And thats all you get from that. See. I kept her alive. She's perfectly fine. Now. You've got 4 hours to call off your dogs or I will hurt her.
With that he hung up. Nora slammed her phone down breathing heavily, her phone was tapped she knew that, hopefully they could get some sort of lock on him.
It was almost three hours later when they got a ping on the location, it was bouncing between two land towers and one satalite unable to pin point the location. It was somewhere between the beach edge and the middle of the ocean. "Where the fuck are you?" She muttered.
