I want to be with my family the people who understand me Ive got nowhere else to go and the rivers shall open for the righteous #jacksonbrowne #worldinmotion #iamapatriot _____________ today my dad is crowned 68. my son squeals towards him singing up up up as my dad lifts him & gifts explode from boxes. just five years ago I stumbled thru ventura county waiting waiting waiting on dealers waiting on needle exchanges waiting on junkie customers & lining it all up for my arrest on multiple felony drug charges forbselling heroin like lollipops in May. May arrived & I phoned my folks from holding to inform them I wouldnt be reachable for a minute. They didnt answer, I hung up, figured that answered that & waited to be housed while treading water in a pool of sweat & diving in chills. some hours later the voice in the sky crashed over head like a dream ROLL IT UP H. I signed for my property & exited to find my bewildered & concerned dad. they didnt know I started swimming with sharks again. a dozen or so arrests & they never bailed me out - I never asked - but this time they pulled $20,000 out of their house & my dad drove the six & a half hours south to bail me out. he gave me his fleece in the early morning & told me he planned to stay at a hotel to rest, he welcomed me there & to return with him up to the bay area. with about a day into a detox from a massive habit I told him to drive me home. he did. he hugged me. I disappeared into my house. he drove the six & a half hours home by himself without sleeping. I needed to get well way more urgently than I needed to comfort my confused & fearful father. when I think about this situation with my dad it sucks. I find peace in knowing I make a monthly financial amends to him & daily living amends to him - I do this by staying clean & being available for him the way he has been for me. I do this by creating moments that (by contrast) make it all worth it, like this one here xox 1/2 Brixton, today, with my dad on his birthday 2/2 June 2013 with my dad & about 36 hours clean on a sail boat in San Diego for Father's Day. This was after my first felony possession for sales charge & days before my second for the same.

I don’t care if I lose followers

I’m an American and today is September 11. 

I was just a kid when all of this happened and am deeply saddened by the attack on my country. 

But there is one thing that’s griping me about this website today:

Does no one care that there are human beings that died on this day in an extremist attack in NYC? Does no one care that children have lost parents to complete and utter hatred?

It is not a fucking competition. The fact that people have died in Iraq since 2001 doesn’t mean that we can’t feel or mourn the loss of innocent Americans.

Just let me and other Americans grieve the tragedy that has hit the country that I love in peace.
