What I should have done: stayed home What I did: went to work
You never listen, do you?
"I could say the same about you, Frost." He shadow sneered, fanged teeth glinting in the dim light. He rubbed his shoulder, where ice had slammed into moments before. "I thought you would get the message to stay out of my domain." Hairless brows furrowed together as he scowled. "I refuse to listen to the likes of you. You lost that chance.”
This just in: I keep typing I-am-frozen as I-am-frozon
Oops!
4. Your character walking in on mine in the shower.
"Jack!" she shrieked, snatching up a towel to preserve her modesty, as it were— not that he hadn’t gotten an eyeful already. "What are ya even doing in here?" Goodness, she hadn’t even heard him come in! Probably due to his perpetually barefoot state, but still— he could have at least knocked!
Coffeehouse AU [@i-am-frozen]
Merida leaned one hip against the counter of the cafe she worked in, a scowl on her lips. She actually hated this job full of arsehole businessmen and pretentious hipsters. She’d only taken it to earn a little extra money to upkeep (and hopefully upgrade) her archery equipment— it was just her luck that her sport of choice was ridiculously expensive. She didn’t even like coffee! She was a proper Scot, good strong tea and scones and fresh bannocks for her. But here she was all the same, in this rubbish country at this rubbish job.
"Can ah help ya?" She droned as a customer stepped up to her counter.
Curiosity
It was that time of the year in the eastern United States again; it was time for the changing of the seasons. Dallas always traveled with her two friends, flying across the globe and watching them turn leaves golden or bring the blazing heat of the sun. They flew with her as well, intrigued by her ability to grow flowers at her own will or bring rainstorms to places where the grass needed to grow.
Jasper, the spirit of summer, had always warned her to steer clear of the winter season. He was always complaining about how cold it was, how it wouldn't have a good effect on the warm seasonal spirits. Amber had never discouraged an adventure, being an explorer herself, and always wanted Dallas to see snow.
She had been a spirit for almost a hundred years now, too busy to stop and smell the roses, which is why she'd never ventured into winter. It wasn't something that she thought about every day, but it crossed her mind whenever Jasper would open his large, annoying mouth, spouting more crappy complaints she could do without.
It was on this particular day where things went south.
Amber was not with their usual pack as she was off reporting a problem to Mother Nature. Jasper had challenged antagonized Dallas into racing him across the globe. They had been flying at very high speeds, not paying attention to their altitude when they flew through a patch of particularly heavy clouds and almost ran into the side of a plane. Jasper managed to drop himself below the aerial vehicle while Dallas flew above. It must have been her unlucky day or something because when her wings dipped into a powerful jetstream, the sheer force of the concentrated wind propelled her backwards, sending the spring sprite tumbling through the air and towards the ground.
The world spun before her eyes, blues, whites, and browns blurring like a streak of paint on a canvas. Dallas didn't have enough time to right herself and this fact send her crashing into multiple branches of a tall pine tree. Eventually, she landed in a pile of soft white powder, groaning quite loudly.
Her skin felt the cold surrounding her and this seemed to register in her mind immediately. Her head popped out of the snowbank she had fallen into and she cast her green eyes around at the landscape. "Where am I?"
@i-am-frozen
Merida curled up in front of the fireplace with a steaming clay mug and a worn blanket about her shoulders, waiting for the raging storm outside to settle down. Her brothers had long fallen asleep, scattered about her on the woven rug. She couldn't help but smile at them-- they were very cute when they were lying peacefully and not up to some new mischief.
"Come on, Jack, where are ya?" she murmured to herself.
Just relax.
Ah am relaxed!
