Jewel scarab beetles. When Insecta first met Groa and saw how the light caught on the metallic parts of her body, she instantly thought of jewel scarabs specifically the sliver variety and how the two had this in common.

She bites, it’s a bit destructive since countless pens and erasers have been rendered useless from her chewing and the insides of her mouth are lined with scars from chewing on the inside of her cheek. She finally caved one day and actually bought one of those chewable stim toys, so she doesn’t have to make the inside of her mouth bleed or ruin her possessions.

22. Insecta doesn’t own a car, for many reasons one being that cars don’t accommodate her body type, she’d need a hole in the back of the car seat for her abdomen or if she was to curl her abdomen under herself to sit on it, she’d need either the seat lowered, or steering wheel raised to be able to drive comfortably. But the real reason Insecta doesn’t drive a car is because she never learned how (cause she’s lazy) because she’s always had a bug to ride to her destination or public transportation. But if she did use a bumper sticker on her ‘vehicle’, this is what it would look like:

Chell blinked slowly. "You must be mistaken, he simply fell over. People cannot handle their liquor here it seems." They moved to sit back in their chair and survey the area- ah, there was the messenger now. Good.

Turning towards Groa as the exchange took place, a smile did pull at their lips. "Treat me to some drinks? If only because he is so eager." They didn't normally drink out in public if only because of the lack of how it affected them.

"You may be here a while, then. Many humans don't seem to care for other normal humans nowadays if given the option, from what I've seen. If you happen to draw a crowd, I'm sure only so many will be allowed to pile up on the floor before I need to leave." She'd have enough of a time explaining this to Darius already.

The Bartender made his way over after a few seconds, the package already out of sight. "Right then, folks. What'll it be tonight?"

Chell did not want to be here. Clubs were always too loud with too many people trying to do dumb things. But business was business, and she knew she wouldn't have been asked to stand guard if they knew she wouldn't have been able to handle it.

The deal was almost done anyways. Just wait for the runner to pick up the package from the bartender and then she could leave-

What she wasn't expecting was to see Groa across the counter skillfully ignoring some guy who seemed to be very interested in her for one reason or another. Groa seemed to catch sight of her as well, and made to walk over to her with this guy trailing after her like a drunken rat.

And, when they came close enough and the guy inevitably stumbled forward, Chell made sure he did so directly into her fist. As he sputtered and dropped to the ground, chell looked up at the other. "Trouble with stray dogs?"

Insecta never really did anything special when it came to her birthday, typically she’d call a few friends over for dinner and cake and call it a night, so when Groa accepted her invite to her birthday dinner, Insecta was happy to have her, even if she didn’t partake in the food it was still nice to have company. While enjoying their night in the dining room of the ship, one of Groa’s drones came down in front of Insecta and opened to reveal a beautifully wrapped box! She pulled on the ribbon to unleash the top, and lifted the lid to unveil something that made Insecta squeal in delight.

“This is so cute Groa, thank you!” It was a “best friends forever” matching necklace, one like you might find in the Claire’s at the mall It was very sweet and actually surprising that it came from Groa, Insecta knew that Groa was her best friend, but to know that she was Groa’s? It warmed her heart.
