I know I am a little late to the party, but iamhifadility released the full “The Queens” EP last month, and it is awesome! I truly enjoy track #4, Steelo, just because of its uniqueness and its ability to make me want to dance.
Apart from the skill that HiFadility uses to craft his sonic creations to make them very well put together pieces, I appreciate listening to this artist because he never waivers from trying to bring people together with some really dope sounds. This project is a tribute to female voices in hip hop and R&B, while being sexy and respectful; something a girl can actually get down to. So tumblr world please like this and re-share this to support this amazing artist.
HiFadility released a new track, an isolation of Lauryn Hill’s voice from the Fugees track “Ready or Not” set to new production.
The artwork, a version of Ryan Schaefer's The Queens that was also released with HiFadility's U.N.I.T.Y. track, is reminiscent of the vévé in Haitian Vodou, a symbol that serves as the representation of various deities during ceremonies and can evoke their personality/spirit.
Perhaps this was not intentional, but this connection taps into a deeper understanding of what art and music can do within the human psyche: recall various archetypes that resonate throughout the human experience. The artwork and track asks us, What does this mean to you? What does life mean to you?
HiFadility is evoking various moods through his music to tell a story. For example, this track is very dark, sultry, and sexy with a chill vibe and dope melodies and percussion rhythms.
Definitely brings out a certain disposition with the listener, something only a skilled musician and a track made with precision and quality can do. So make sure to check it out and follow HiFadility on tumblr, soundcloud or twitter because he drops gems, from knowledge to music, all of the time.
"THXNK" by HiFadility
Recently, my good friend and one of my favorite musicians iamhifadility released a new track called "THXNK" with coldbusted on their instrumental compilation IWYMI Vol. 6. It is always difficult to describe the HiFadility sound because it is so different from anything most people have ever heard, yet it is so thrilling that it is reminiscent of the Jazz, Hip Hop, Electronic and Caribbean sound we are all so familiar with. With the beginning of the new year 2015, I have been thinking about all of the things that I am thankful for, and the aspects of my life that I am interested in changing and negative cycles that I want to break in the interest of growth. "THXNK" came at the perfect time to remind me of what to THINK of /THANK for.
Currently as a society, we completely underestimate the power of sound. As our world is made of vibrations and waves, I feel like music has the special ability of intensifying the positive and negative, allowing us to consider both of those as aspects of life. Knowing HiFadility and HiFadility music in general, there was extra positive thought put into how his music would affect the audience, what the sounds would make them feel, how the sounds would make them act, what is the universal truth that can be portrayed in the music that emotionally, we all can relate to.
Specifically, with this track "THXNK", I am thankful for creators like HiFadility who try to understand and think about what affect they have on their audience, what they can give without asking for anything in return. No recognition, no money, and yet, HiFadility and creators like him are reaching to the depths of their soul and using their time and talent to endow us with sound that would bring us to a positive altered reality.
I am breaking my silence and speaking about Arts&Culture and their special ability to change our world. I will continue to think about my ability to be present and create, my ability to be alive, and I am thankful for it all. Check out the track and let me know how you feel!

HiFadility displays his ability to effortlessly combine hip hop, jazz and his Caribbean influences on this new track that ruminates on the value of what it is to think and to thank.
IWYMI Vol. 6 is a compilation project by ColdBusted, a Record Label based out of LA that features jazz, hip hop, trip hop, jazzy hip hop and instrumentals, and chooses artist to be featured on compilation projects. HiFadility was featured on IWYMI Vol. 2 with "Contra" and was recently featured again on IWYMI Vol. 6 with "Thxnk".
