Tell us your opinion about Octavia:)

I have a lot of feelings about my smol daughter, and first of all I want to say that yes, I know her character is ‘problematic’ as tumblr loves to say, and while I don’t agree with a lot of her actions, I still love her. dare to fight me on this.

when I watched the first two seasons of the 100 I wasn’t in the fandom on tumblr yet, but I remember looking for spoilers bc I was obsessed, and I saw this one super famous gifset of octavia in the beginning of the first season and then her as a grounder with a caption like ‘best character development ever’ (I’ll try to link it later) and I was like wooooooooooow super cool!! like yeah I loved her from the beginning. and linctavia stole my heart from the very first moments.

last season was, well, heavy, also for octavia’s character development. the hate I saw surprised me though, bc I thought she was a fandom favourite, but apparently opinions can change in no time. I had some super octavia-defending mutuals too on the other hand :). I distanced myself from the discourse. but if there’s one thing that it made me realise, it’s that the relation between the blake siblings is super super important.

as for season four: trailers aired and ppl said octavia would go on a killing spree and be totally lost and stuff. I was afraid for that, but she turned out way better than what I anticipated. ofc I don’t agree with everything, but I love her and you must agree she’s super hot this season. when she fell down that cliff I was shocked and started crying (in that moment my head kinda forgot that we’d seen a lot of other scenes with her in the trailers so that she couldn’t be dead but emotions). I don’t know what to think of all this ‘new core four’ stuff. I love monty ofc, but to just throw her away? I’m not entirely comfortable with that

this got super long but I just want to say that I’m super happy her and bellamy’s relationship seems to become better now. so important!!! 

and as for her and ilian… right now I’m neutral about it, I’ll see what I think about them if they become canon

I have less to say about roan. he’s a more recent character, and he’s also not really one of my faves? I don’t mind him though :)

I think I like his character more in the hands of the fandom than in the actual show. mostly him in relation to bellarke, there are wonderful crack posts about them lmao. and my brotp tag for him and clarke is ‘besties’. I don’t really have an opinion on him in the show, mostly that I like his sass (or like him taking clarke’s gun and throwing it away. iconic). in my eyes he’s a bit unpredictable. his fight with lexa last season was epic too.

I also don’t ship him with anyone on the show. I agree his abs are insane, but for the rest I don’t think he’s handsome? personal opinion ofc, but to me there’s zero attraction, which makes it more difficult to see him with other characters on the show. I know ppl love ice mechanic, but I just? don’t?? see it??? I always think it’s a bit weird when I read about them in fanfics.

nevertheless, he is a interesting character in the show. I also love his dynamics with echo. but he’s not really the kind of character I would mourn for if he’d die (I don’t think he’ll die though).

so yeah, I’m rather neutral about roan :)

Hmm I think I always had ships growing up like on Disney Channel shows, but I think the first one I was really emotional about was either Ron and Hermione from Harry Potter or Clark and Lois from Smallville. 

4. What’s your current NOTP?

My current NOTP has to be Archie and Ms Grundy on Riverdale. Every scene they have just upsets me. I feel like she is just continuously manipulating him. 

12. Have you ever been disappointed when your ship finally got together?

Yeah kind of! Not that they finally got together but because I felt like it happened too fast. One I can think of is I’m watching The Mindy Project (I’m only at then end of the second season) and I’ve been waiting for Mindy and Danny to got together faster than I thought they were and it ended so quickly

16. Talk about a ship you initially disliked.

At first I did not like Francis and Mary on Reign but the more I watched the show the more I liked them together.
