Perhaps Shen should have felt some measure of unease, being so appraised, but what did he have to fear? He had never been among the crane’s beloved, neither treasure nor family nor friend.
He was focused; he was not particularly vigilant.
“Like the last time, is it?” Eyebrows arched just slightly in well-curated pity. “I would never have thought.”
iamlinghe answered your ask:Fung- “No, I think it looked a little better on...
Fung- And with that, Fung knew he had messed up horribly. He had tried to grab the pendant off that peculiar yak but it ended up turning into that bird. So with that realization he did the next best thing.
Fung swirled around, grabbed his friend by the wrist and dashed away as quickly as possible.
“Please. I haven’t snuck into your apartment for weeks. Which reminds me, you’re all out of peanut butter.” [mxstershifu -- I COULDN'T RESIST]

“…I think it’s about time we had a talk about boundaries, Shifu. And you owe me a new jar of peanut butter,” he added plaintively.

Granted, Ling He was not quite like Po, as far as Mr. Ping was aware: saying he wasn't hungry was not the end of the world. But the crane certainly didn't look very... well.
The goose gave him a cursory look-over from one side to the other before coming to his inevitable, deadpan conclusion.
"...You're sick."
“Are you eating properly? You don’t look like it.”

Shen’s first response is a scowl. It’s hidden in concern, but the comment still strikes him as indisputably r u d e. He always looks a bit ill. He blames it, as he often does, on the color of his plumage. That he is an astoundingly picky eater doesn’t help matters.
“I’m just a little kid! I’m supposed to be small!”

While it’s been a while since the Soothsayer has brushed up on avian-specific symptoms to illnesses, she eyed him carefully. Even if he was a master, he was still susceptible to certain species-specific illnesses.
"Regardless, you should probably get the tail twitching checked out,” she said. “Wouldn’t want to accidentally steer yourself off course with an errant twitch.”
Or worse, she added in her mind.

It was the ‘ghost’ comment that got him to twitch, but he didn’t linger.
“My, so quick to redirect the conversation. And to attack me, no less. I must have hit a nerve with that comment. Is there something about being patently abnormal that so disturbs you?”
