I can’t even put into words how adorable they are 🥹 Their bond is so strong and you can see how completely genuine they are. They know just how important their relationship is and they protect it with such quiet privacy and care. A life truly shared 💞
In the midst of all the politics and questions the senior Grand Prix final left me with, it’s easy to miss this gem of a program.
From the costumes to choreography to the strong skating skills, this program is a joy to watch. I know they had an issue with their twizzles in the RD, but they came back strong with this program.
I think they will be rising to senior next year and I’m looking forward to them shaking up the Canadian senior ranks.
CPom RD run though at 2025 US Nationals with Jean-Luc Baker commentary
I need some more vanilla VCAs.
The patch right now is playing two things being crossfaded against each other — the sequenced synth voice against a sampled sequence coming from my phone over the Bluetooth player — but I'm using the IamOs to do it. (That is, each of those is going into an IamO, with an envelope modulating one and an inverted copy of it modulating the other.) It's a fun sound, but I'm just uncertain what coloring I'm getting from the JFET distortion, and I kind of want to try things without worrying about that.
Olympians!! ❤️🌟
aww - coming off the ice at Boston Worlds, i think
Q: Christina, you hopefully soon will get your citizenship
C: soon - couple more weeks!
Q: how much of a kind of pressure was that for you waiting?
C: it's a lot and it's very stressful. the naturalization process actually went very very smoothly. the process of getting the green card was very stressful, and a lot of it is results based. so we had to keep furnishing results to have a stronger case, and of course having that in the back of your mind is sort of stressful. but the naturalization process is going very well and it's almost over
A: but then also we train in Canada, but Christina has to continue living in the United States. and for four years now, she's been traveling back and forth, crossing borders, and driving at least 1 hour each way. it's like she's really showed dedication, and i can't think of a better person to become American than Christina.
C: thanks!
A: she's really showed the commitment and even some of the hard days where they would close the highway or block the bridge
C: there's a bridge that takes you from Canada to the US and the last two summers they renovated one side of the bridge so you could only use like one the traffic was awful. it would take me like 2 to three hours to get home and then the summer after they closed the other side
A: so really like the amount of adversity she had had to deal with to get this citizenship is one of a kind, and i'm going to continue talking about it just because it's something very special. like she had to commit so much to -
C: i feel like i earned my passport (giggles)
