Hello loves.
It's been a little bit.
Since we last spoke, I've mostly been working. I did go to this crazy store called The Warehouse of Stuff (no, really, that's what its called). They sell fixtures and displays and stuff from stores. It was kind of insane. Nothing was priced and lots of things were in piles. Good story.
Renegade was last weekend and it was less crazy then last year. Slightly less lucrative, but still a great show and it felt more manageable. Also, I over-prepared I guess, so I have less work to do for my next show, which is in a couple of weeks. I took 2 days off from Renegade and it was great!
Here's my booth at Renegade:
On Tuesday I went to what is known as The Loop, which has a lot of cool restaurants and shops and such. I bought myself a cold brew coffee and some art supplies from the Blick store, which is the best. I also went to this Salvation Army that is sort of near the rich neighborhood and bought myself a bunch of clothes. I like to buy myself clothes. Woo.
Today it was very "cold," meaning it was like in the 60s, and it was gray outside and I felt very sad and homesick all day. I spent about half the day laying on the couch, and then I made myself look nice and took myself out to lunch at Mud House, which is my favorite coffee shop here. They even gave me a free chocolate chip cookie. I did some drawing there for the photo booth for Strange Folk. Did I tell you about that? I'm helping design the photo booth. Yeee haw. It is woodland themed. Or something. I don't know. I don't feel excited about it. I don't feel excited about much lately. I feel very isolated and I miss Bloomington and my friends really effing badly.
