Last week we had a v. special guest on Femconcept - Robynn Iwata! Robynn is a CiTR and Discorder alumni who had a show at CiTR in the early 90s, and was a member of the band cub, one of the first bands signed to Vancouver's Mint Records! When cub disbanded in 1997, Robynn went on to join I Am Spoonbender, an experimental electronic band based out of San Francisco.
On the show, Robynn chatted with us about her experience at CiTR and Discorder, playing music in Vancouver, as well as her current work in the remote oasis of Siwa in Egypt! If you're interested in hearing more about this work, you can visit the website The Source in the Sahara.
