There are corpses at funerals who have had less make-up on than me right now. But I am in the big city and don't want to scare small children. I am the walking dead. Is it strep with a side of bronchitis? Pneumonia? I can't wait to see how this progresses. #zombielook #iamthewalkingdead #sickly #toomuchmakeup (at Elko, Nevada) https://www.instagram.com/p/B6O78gBg2gW/?igshid=1wrz1l3owjitb
Seriously, my four followers, if you've not played the games, do me a favor and skip on by, won't you? Especially if you've got an interest in playing them. I definitely don't wanna ruin anything. If you've got the means and are thinking of buying the game, pull the trigger.
Thank you, read more button. My friend Brendan's taking way too long to finish the games (he bought them Wednesday), but I've been DYING to rant about this.
I've honestly never had a game hit me this way. For books, I can think of maybe one or two that hit me as hard and shows too, but for them they take advantage of my sense of nostalgia as well (which is extremely high).
I'll skip the explanation; if anyone's reading this, they're here because they understand. I knew what was coming. I knew it would hurt, but I didn't really let myself believe it until the last time Lee fell. I let one sob out and held back the rest right until he was giving Clem his last bit of advice. I said I would miss her and when the gunshot fired, I was sobbing like I was being separated from my daughter. That was how it felt.
I thought I reacted stronger than most people, but I've been looking online since Wednesday, joining discussions and the like. It's helpful to see other people feel not only the same way, but to the same degree. I think the final straw was watching the end of PewDie's LP.
PewDiePie's a rather boisterous fellow. He can be found on youtube cracking inappropriate jokes and generally failing to take a lot of things seriously. Which is fine - it works for him and he can certainly be charming. I've watched dozens of hours of his videos and the closest I've seen him come to crying was from fear until this LP.
He held tough for awhile. I saw his eyes were wet and his lips trembled the slightest bit. His jokes were growing scarce. Then he got to the part where I lost it and he let out one sob and then had to move off-camera as he continued to sob loudly. I hated to see him sad, sure, but it was god damn touching and somehow freeing.
So, this ends up being a thank you to PewDie for having the strength to post a video of himself sobbing uncontrollably for his millions of viewers (I don't know if I'd be that brave), a call to all who played and cried, and of course a thank you to TellTale for crafting such a moving game.
