I just woke up this morning to the sun shining on my face. I went to bed last night to frigid cold temperatures and rain. We were expecting a winter storm. I too went to the grocery store and purchased a little extra food and supplies in case we lost power. When I saw the sun I began to think about how God will let the sun and SON shine on dark situations and ultimately change things for my good! I thought about how 3 years ago it took my family over 8 hours to get home from work during a winter storm. I remember feeling nervous as my husband drove through the ice....trying to keep the boys and I calm and safe. We even had to let a stranger spend the night in our home because she was stranded. But this year....I woke up to the sun shining on my face. In this year....in this season....In my life....I will NOT complain. I will NOT mock you God. You are too good to me! As 2016 comes to an end, My heart is filled with praise and gratefulness! I remember how down I felt this time last year. I knew I needed to do something different.
