This is a fan page for the unreleased 1994 film, The Fantastic Four. Run by a geek who just really likes this movie and wanted a platform to post more about it.
The Fantastic Four was filmed from December 1992 to January 1993, supposedly scheduled for release in 1994. Unbeknownst to those who worked on the project, its true purpose was only to allow producer Bernd Eichinger to retain the film rights to the characters for another ten years. Working on a $1m budget and a dream, the creators and actors behind this movie poured everything they had into making a story that was faithful to the comics and the characters, a story with a heart and soul. The result is a wholesome film that cares about its characters and the tale it’s telling, with a real feeling of family and unity woven into the very fabric of it.
Despite all of the time, effort, and money put into it by the entire cast and crew — from putting up with filming in condemned buildings, to sneaking around at night to get the editing completed, to paying out of pocket for things like a full orchestra and a publicity tour — in the end it was rewarded only with a shelved movie and the revelation that what they’d created was never even intended to see the light of day.
Thankfully, a transfer of the film was made and ended up floating around in fan circles as a bootleg, giving people the ability to watch it regardless. Over the decades it’s become an underground legend, with fans around the world embracing it and many agreeing that it’s the most comic-accurate live action adaptation we have. Today it has something of a cult following, and perhaps ironically, a life it probably never would have had if it had been released in the first place. In 2025, actors Alex Hyde-White, Rebecca Staab, Jay Underwood, and Michael Bailey Smith got a chance to finally be acknowledged by Marvel Studios and have cameo roles in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, thrilling fans who have longed to see these performers be paid their dues for their work and their continuing love and devotion to Marvel’s First Family.

Where can I watch the movie online? It tends to float around YouTube for a while before inevitably getting taken down again, but so far the longest standing link I’ve found is here on the Internet Archive.
Where can I watch the Doomed! documentary? The documentary is here on YouTube, or free to stream on Tubi, Pluto TV, Fandango at Home, and Amazon Prime Video.
Where can I buy a copy of the movie? There are bootlegs everywhere, but I prefer to direct people to the folks who made the Doomed! documentary, who sell affordable copies of both their own doc (so you can directly support them!) and the 1994 film with optional upscaled quality and even a commentary with director Oley Sassone. While there is no official release out there, this is as official as it gets. (This is not an affiliate link, I’m just plugging the best option available.)
Where can I show support for the movie’s release? The actors have a petition set up, campaigning for the official release of the film. While admittedly petitions are never guaranteed to have sway with studios, it’s a good way to stand with everyone who worked on this project and to show Marvel, Disney, etc. that there’s fan interest.
