Capture || Ian and Marlow
She knew something was up. Nothing would be this easy. It had been about a week since Ian had saved Rune from Trevor, and since then all Marlow had been able to talk to her best friend was through impersonal, digital words. But out of nowhere, he asked Ian to come get her. Everything about this situation seemed suspicious, but she trusted Rune. He could not go and get her, but Ian could, and she knew of their relationship with each other. Surely Ian would do this one favor for Rune… right?
She sat on a bench at the entrance to campus, staring down at her phone. Perhaps she would receive a text, telling her that the plan was cancelled and that she could go back and work on an English paper that was due by the end of the week or to work on mastering a video game she had been stressing over. But alas, no such thing happened. By the time she had almost talked herself out of going, the rumble of tired pulled up outside the school grounds, and when she peered in the window, she saw the man that her best friend was so fond of, but this time, he was real and not just a picture she had threatened Rune to get a glimpse of. Ian was behind the drivers set and looking straight at her.
[TEXT]: The cafe, then. 30 minutes.
[TEXT]: Alright. I'll be there.
[TEXT]: Afraid to come to my place, Rune?
[TEXT]: Well, Ian, since you've already shown me the gun hidden under your couch, it's safe to say there are many more hidden weapons. So yeah, I'm a little tentative about coming over.
[TEXT]: Don't be difficult. Will you meet with me?
[TEXT]: Fine. On one condition; somewhere public.
[TEXT]: I need to talk to you.
[TEXT]: And I should trust you why?
It's my thinking we should be friends.
I'm thinking you're right.
