Ian Hamilton was the person she told me about. The advice was to take a look on his “concrete poetry” not only because I was using that typing machine but also because I wanted to do a podcast (and that is one of my ideas) and with it collect depositions from people to do a book.
For the interested ones : “Concrete poetry is an arrangement of linguistic elements in which the typographical effect is more important in conveying meaning than verbal significance. It is sometimes referred to as visual poetry, a term that has now developed a distinct meaning of its own.”
I loved the concept of concrete poetry because it seems to be minimalistic, simple but meaningful. That was a nice practice and I tried to represent it on my sketchbook.
