Yesterday marked the 5th anniversary of Disney and Pixar's "Onward" (2020). I felt it was the perfect occasion to show my support by wearing one of Ian Lightfoot's Willowdale College pullover hoodie. 🦅🪄✨🧙‍♂️

No but seriously I haven’t loved a movie as much as this one since httyd? It’s just so good I’ve watched it an obnoxious amount of times...Sucks the fandom seems to be effectively dead but that’s okay I will scream into the void..

The marathon’s quest

It was a regular day in Disneyland at Pixar Pier where all Pixar characters were greeting fans at the park until a flyer was posted near Ian and Barley’s meet n greet spot. Ian notice it it reads, “ All Disney Pixar characters that have magic and have a kind heart, and guests that cosplays, get to be in a 1k marathon around the Disneyland park! Ian was interested he guestured Barley to look at it. Barley was excited that his lil brother is part of the race,but Ian never been to A 1k, he been to marathon, but not like this kind. Barley encourage Ian to practice before the big race,but he want to make a surprise to some of the racers.

Day 1

Ian was jogging around Pixar pier with his red flannel tied around his waist, as he was jogging around the Pixar pier, he ran into a group of jockey racers who, INTENDED the marathon yesterday after Ian intend it. Ian was little nervous when he see the jockey group, “ *laughs* oh look who’s here. You’ll never gonna compete us, you are just a shy,skinny, *sharpyly soft* ELF.” Ian was a little hurt by those words, he warps his arms around his waist shyly and sceard, fearing that he may not win, but he has to do this for his brother and his dad! He hide behind the Gate of Pixar Pier,sank down to his knees, and sob silently.

Few minutes pass

Judy Hopps was gonna practice her run for the race, till she heard Ian’s soft sobs, she kneels front of him and guesture like: “are you ok?” Ian shakes his head softly and turns away softly to hide his teary eyes. Judy puts her paws on Ian’s shoulders and then put her paw on his cheek and gently lifts his head up like” hey,you can do this,don’t give up yet. You have plenty time to practice.” Ian nods softly and press his hand gently against Judy’s paw like:” *silently* ok I’ll try my best, I’ll just need to do something before those jockey group, sees me again.” Judy reaches into her pocket and gives Ian a small paper that has a picture of Judy Hopps(her) running across the ice during her training that day. She guesture like: “ you see when I went on Police training I got tons of other mammals called me names,but that doesn’t stop me,so you can’t stop fear,but you have to keep you fear getting away from those hurtful names and words.” Ian nods in understanding.

Few days later

Ian has been practicing and practicing and he is confident enough to go to the marathon! He grabs a long scarf, and use it as a hijab so the Jockeys don’t notice him in the race. He is wearing his red flannel,jeans, and his iconic blue and white converse shoes. Judy Hopps was preparing to get her signigture uniform on for the race. Mickey Mouse is beside the starting starting line, Barley is watching the race on a bench in Pixar Pier,he is excited to see his brother to win, but he didn’t notice Ian when he wears a hijab. The marathon is about to start, all the characters and racers including the jockey group(oh no.) ! Mickey guesture his fingers like: 3,2,1 *waves his green flag* ONWARD!!!!!” The racers ran!! As Ian runs he unpin the pin and let the wind blows his hijab away revealing Ian Lightfoot himself!!!! Barley and the other audience is in shock with surprise!!! Barley cheered!!! The Jockey group sees Ian is about to take the lead! One of the jockey push him out of the race! Ian was down but got back up, but this time he uses his Wizard Staff! The audience plus Barley was astounding with shock and surprised. As he got to the finish line, Ian’s voice on the speaker boomed “ BOOMBASTIA! He WON!!!! All the audience cheered including Judy Hopps she puts her paw on Ian’s shoulder like “congratulations!” Mickey Mouse is holding a medal as Ian softly bows as Mickey puts it on him. Barley rushes to his brother and gives him a big hug. Ian puts his hand on his medal and raise his staff like: “ this is for you,dad.”

I got Pixar Banana Stickers on my bananas in my grocery order today!!! I placed the order a few days ago for Saturday and I forgot that I found a spot for comments on the food I want and so my request was somewhat green bananas with Disney stickers if possible. And it worked!!!! Disney and Dole have had an on-going deal for Disney Banana Stickers promoting whatever the new Disney movie is, (or Mickey at 90) and because of the pandemic they ditched that for Pixar stickers this year. Onward is on Disney+ now.  I saw it in the theatre and loved it so I’ll be watching it again.  Oh, and I drew Ian and Barley because I have LOTS of time to draw now, lol
