Present Mic is angry. To be honest, with how the manga has been playing out, he has every right to be. So much loss and pain.

But just like Hulk (Avengers Film 2012), he's always mad. That's his secret. It's an anger that propels him forward. Makes him work even harder as a pro and teacher.

I always thought the radio program he runs on Friday nights was a way to remind everyone that there's still hope even when everything feels lost. That there will be a sunny day again.

Oboro had given him joy and raised him up as a teen, and now he would do the same for others. At the end of another exhausting work week, he could bring some happiness back once again. Just because he's angry at the injustices of the world and constantly fighting, doesn't mean there isn't at least something, anything to feel good about. He reminds people of that in a very cynical age. He lets the sun shine back through. That's why I like him so much.

It's hard to try to be everybody's rock. He has so much anger and pain, but he chooses to be positive even in the face of all that. Thank you for reading this. I've enjoyed your blog for years. While I've stepped away from the fandom for 3 years, your blog always manages to remind me why I like this gang of friends so much.
