oh i feel some castor and pollux rose content in this chili’s tonight

HEY remember the dnd boy i have, castor, the one that’s based on valentine? the warlock whose ghost-patron is his mercutio-analog-brother??

castor so far hasn’t been very open or comfortable with the party, but today they all went to an open mic and after a drink he performed a comedic monologue

he rolled a nat 20, people were sobbing with laughter, and his ghost patron gave him a pat on the back that nobody knew about but him :,)

5. do they follow a higher power? what are their thoughts on divinity?

i feel like castor is having to reevaluate a lot of this these days, lol. i mean obviously living in a universe were there are things like clerics, not to mention his own little Ghost Pact scenario, it feels silly for him not to believe in some higher power. i think pre-Ghost Pact, however, castor was a lot more leery of religion and the divine and of people who basically make these huge sacrifices and give up so much of their agency to essentially be used as tools by these higher beings. now he just spends a lot of time trying to convince himself that this is NOT THE SAME, THIS IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT, IT’S DIFFERENT WHEN IT’S YOUR BROTHER WHO IS A GHOST,

“famous last words” by my chemical romance (but “the only hope for me is you” is second runner up in terms of mcr songs)

9. do they care about their appearance? how much effort do they put into presentation?

castor’s fashion sense is definitely deteriorating in tandem with his humanity (nbd). i don’t think he’s ever preened to the level that his brother once did, but he used to be a pretty well put together, respectable sort, and now he’s serving more “college student in the library at 2 am during finals week” realness.
