Do you have any Kestrelflight (or if you already did him then you could do Flametail) only headcanons? Like I cannot be the only person who sees Kestrel as a gifted child with a slice of parentification..right!

that's my kestrelflight piece.

gifted shit and parentification are both issues near to my heart, so i will be swift, because if i'm not i'll say more than i want to. i don't really see that in him, the little snags that usually give me that just aren't there.

honestly i just. see him as having adhd, and going thru the shit i went thru having adhd and growing up and not knowing.

i like iatco the way it is, but if i were to edit it, it would probably be to include more about the social consequences of adhd. i often hung out with kids two or three years younger than me because they were emotionally at my level. and this is a complex subject for anyone always, there is a lot to say here, but. it's a bit tangential to the point.

i've already got plenty of dovewing stuff about giftedness and how that can shake out; maybe one day i'll write something about parentification. emotional parentification is...

maybe one day i'll write about that.
