Fiora and Iathos finally kissed!
After a fight, which led Iathos to believe that Fiora was afraid of him, which just broke him, and after a talk with fellow Tiefling Ciaràn about "simply not wanting to exist at times." and the woes of looking like they do and sharing some schnaps, trying not to scare two rescued children in the meantime, Iathos got his self-hatred together and made good of the promise to talk to her aftrr defeating the hags.
Imagine standing in the middle of Barovia, the old Bonegrinder windmill burning behind you (because fuck you, hags), two little kids that you rescued running with your group, one that quickly understand that tieflings are not evil, and having a conversation like
"Fiora, you are my everything. I would go to hell and back for you, no one is more important than you, if you die I'll die."
And Fiora being like
"Iathos, I like you a lot too. You're like family to me and really important."
And after not understanding the meaning of his words for another five minutes, because Fiora is precious and really innocent, Iathos is like "I.love.you. like a man loves a woman. I can draw you a picture if you like."
Which led to another awkward conversation about not knowing about it, because Iathos had flings and him not being good enough for her, while Fiora blushed to the shade of the morning sun and asked if this had started in Barovia, which it hadn't ofc.
Fiora talked about him always being at her side and being with her through everything and finished with a "Is this the time for a kiss?" Because Iathos thought that Fio meant something like "give me some time. I don't know. I love you like a brother." and was frankly too afraid to make another move.
And then they kissed. After knowing each other for all those years, they kissed.
They shared a single braincell that moment.
