Every Day A Record
Yesterday: Heart Full of Soul by The Yardbirds
The Yardbirds is a British Invasion band who originally played blues-rock, for example they did a coverversion of Howlin’ Wolfs Smokestack Lightning. Heart Full of Soul is written by Graham Gouldman,(who later became a 10cc member). When The Yardbirds made the switch from rhytm & blues to pop-rock Eric Clapton, who was a member of The Yardbirds, left the band and started playing with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers. Other members from The Yardbirds were Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. When Page left he founded Led Zeppelin.
The song was ment to be played on the sitar, but eventually it was played with effect on the electric guitar.
Original recording: The song was taken from the group's album Having A Rave Up recorded in 1965 at IBC Studio’s
