Antoine Carey and I have been friends since I can remember. Antoine, owner of @faded_and_company Faded & Co., is doing big things. I grew up watching Antoine, a very bright young man, fall into the school-to-prison-pipeline, While incarcerated, Antoine ensured me that he would use his time productively, and that he did. I worked at the same prison Antoine was incarcerated in and watched Antoine lead groups that helped men with 18 months or less on there sentence to make better decisions once they were released. I also watched him complete a rigorous barbering program led by Robert Fauntleroy. The program, one of the best on the east coast, turned out hundreds, if not thousands of well-qualified, licensed barbers. Antoine took advantage of his time being incarcerated band picked up a trade. He will be releasing a documentary soon for those men who are in the same brown leather boots Antoine stood in not too long ago. Antoine will share his story of redemption and help inspire them to beat the odds. #ReEntry #SuccessStory #iBeatTheOdds
