As Abram looked at the sky, observing the stars which God placed in the heavens at the dawn of creation, Abram believed the Lord. God had said that just as the stars were innumerable, “So shall your offspring be” (Genesis 15:5). We read then of God’s miraculous response: Abram believed the Lord, “and He [God] counted it to him [Abram] as righteousness” (Genesis 15:6).
