I've completed the portrait sketch of my Vampyre Bryde, along with two earlier concepts on the left hand side. I made her look more like Bellatrix Lestrange from the Harry Potter series as I went, and I like that look more. In keeping with her Lego minifigure looks, I still kept in her necklace and pendant, but mostly redesigned it to look a bit more choker-like. And the more I tweaked her, I made her smile look smugger and sinister than the last. For her glasses, I made them into a bit of a gradient pattern to look cooler.

Here is Ibrahim V. Helsing, a redesign of my OC who’s a paranormal investigator type mixed with a wildlife conservationist (I’m so tired of people murdering fantastical/supernatural creatures in media). He really wants both worlds to live in peace with one another and will do whatever he can to serve the two. His family are the Palestinian descendants of Abdul Alhazred, writer of the Necronomicon and have long since adopted the last name of Helsing, the title of those who have fought the forces of evil for centuries. The picture on the right is how he’d look like in a world of Universal Horror movies, might do a webcomic in that style, he looks pretty good like that. I prefer the Universal Horror movies over Hammer Horror movies due to their superior cinematography, you get better atmosphere when working in black and white.

The character of Ibrahim V. Helsing is available for use by anyone, with one condition. This paragraph must be included in any publication involving Helsing, in order that others may use this property as they wish. All rights reversed.

From watching the animation youtube channel BaM Animation, they mentioned how you should draw your character three or four times in order to really nail down how your character looks. The idea is pushing your design to be more iconic looking and easier to draw for repeated purposes, which will be real handy when I start drawing my webcomic. Made much more progress into my remake of my old Ibrahim Helsing drawing, this time I got to the flat colours stage. I also made the brick wall with a scratchy brush instead of just more standard brushes. The monster here is to give my piece a more interesting look, something to indicate that Ibrahim is involved with the supernatural/paranormal instead of just a guy jumping over a brick wall at night.
