I recently came across the Batman 85th Anniversary character skins for the now-defunct Multiversus game and I honestly felt disappointed by them. I mean no disrespect towards the underpaid and overworked design team, but a lot of these designs (specifically the Powerpuff Girls, Jake the Dog, Finn the Human, the Iron Giant, Agent Smith, Arya Stark, Reindog and the Banana Guard) just looked like shoddily made fanmods for the game. The first characters I chose to redesign were the PPG and the Iron Giant, since it took little effort on my part to decide what parts of the Batman mythology their redesigns should be based on (I'm keeping my Iron Giant under wraps for now). As a redhead, I knew that Blossom would fit in the role of the Silver Age version of Barbara Gordon (who people incorrectly assume is the original Batgirl) like a glove. Since Bubbles is played by Tara Strong, a controversial voice actress that spent decades playing Barbra Gordon in various adaptations, it made sense to base her redesign on the 2019 DC Superhero Girls (which also helps avoiding a monotonous colour scheme). Buttercup, described as "the strongest fighter" in the closing credits song, is based on the Cassandra Cain version of Batgirl, often considered to be on the best hand-to-hand fighters in the DCU.

This was a project I started last year, but finished last night. I haven't been feeling passionate towards my drawing or writing this year, so I thought that I should complete some of the projects I had started a long time ago.

I didn't like the way The New Batman Adventures redesigned the Mad Hatter's appearance with such a drab colour scheme, so I wanted to do a little redesign of a redesign by making him look a touch closer to how he looked in the show before the big fancy makeover. This might sound odd, but I think that his colour scheme in TNBA made the Hatter look more like just some guy from Victorian England while his old look of neon green, neon blue and navy blue made him stand out as something otherworldly, essentially someone who would fit in the world of Wonderland. Anyway, while I wanted to give him his old look back, I also didn't want to disrespect TNBA's production team's choices. Therefore, I gave him a colour scheme that was evocative of his pre-TNBA appearance but that could also fall in line with the aesthetics of TNBA.

Look who made some more animation!I wanted to do a character model turn around and Polly from Amphibia was the easiest character to pick. I sort of messed up the tail in the front-facing rear view and its kind of choppy looking, so I'd probably grade myself a B.

For the past couple of months, I've been writing a story that combines The Owl House and various other Disney animated television series with the Japanese RPG, Persona 5 Royal. As Luz Noceda is the main character in this fanfic, she is also the leader of this story's version of the Phantom Thieves, the group of thieves who travel into the minds of corrupted authority figures and combat the inner demons inside them. Since this is Luz we're talking about, she'd jump at the opportunity to make her codename "Luzura", her self-insert OC of her favourite fantasy series, The Good Witch Azura. I've combined elements of various Luz designs in the show. Her outfit is based on her early concept artwork, "Beta Luz", and her hair is from the disguise she had in the season two episode "Reaching Out". I was on the twitter account for Azumanga Daioh screenshots and I found that without their noses, they reminded me of Big City Greens characters. Making them BCG characters was much, much more fun compared to making the background (It was soooo hard!).

This is Karazawa, the fusion of Karasama and Aizawa. I've nothing against Karasama, but I find Aizawa such a cool and attractive guy by comparison. Definitely the hardest part was finding a way to draw the face, I was having a lot of difficulties with that. I also tried to have his suit look like his wrappings were around his arm, but the effect didn't look good.

Currently taking a break from making my comic to work on an animatic mashup of Ducktales and My Hero Academia. I got inspired by the big emotional scene from S3E3, “Double O Duck In: You Only Crash Twice” and thought it would be compelling to have Jirou and Kaminari in the place of Dewey and Launchpad, respectively.

Here is Ibrahim V. Helsing, a redesign of my OC who’s a paranormal investigator type mixed with a wildlife conservationist (I’m so tired of people murdering fantastical/supernatural creatures in media). He really wants both worlds to live in peace with one another and will do whatever he can to serve the two. His family are the Palestinian descendants of Abdul Alhazred, writer of the Necronomicon and have long since adopted the last name of Helsing, the title of those who have fought the forces of evil for centuries. The picture on the right is how he’d look like in a world of Universal Horror movies, might do a webcomic in that style, he looks pretty good like that. I prefer the Universal Horror movies over Hammer Horror movies due to their superior cinematography, you get better atmosphere when working in black and white.
