Well, just click on my #LinkinBio to help me, help the island recover from Hurricane Maria & Irma! • While working on the island, I have been faced with multiple challenges. From high winds to horizontal downpour to sweltering sun to navigating the language & roads. But what is never over looked is the wildlife roaming about. • Pictured: While on my first ever site as a full-time Site Supervisor(!?!) installing gutters, we heard frantic meowing. Next door in the lumber pile, was a group of kittens traversing the sharp steel & discarded debris to make it to the fence. Little did they know that on the other side of the fence wasn't safety, but a 20ft drop off the mountain side. Seeing no other option, I extended my arm through our sites fence & caught one kitten on my fingertips. Standing with one in my arms, I knew I couldn't let the others face this same daunting path. So, like any other sane cat loving person, I shimmied between the front yard fence & a cinderblock wall & carefully extracted the rest.
