There was a tone to his voice that spoke volumes without using many words, soft and gentle yet stern and strong in nature. It wasn’t like the other’s worry wasn’t unfounded, after all seeing someone as hurt as he was would cause alarm and panic to anyone. However, Jack had almost become use to and very familiar with the pain and injuries his body had endured throughout his fights in this timeline, to an almost inhuman degree. Time and time again, managing to survive even the most brutal of injuries and kept going.
To him, the gashes that ran across his body in kind in the moment were not overtly concerning. Even the one he held with some pressure that was staining his hand in sanguine blood that was flowing like a river.
“...please calm yourself.”
His voice was calm like always, hand squeezing her shoulder once more. There was no doctors nearby, not when they found themselves in the middle of a vast wilderness. That didn’t mean he didn’t have the means to clean up and tend to his injuries at hand, something that had become essential in his journeys.
“I will be fine, I promise.”
