“Any of them, actually. It’s not exactly easy to have confidence when you’ve never had anyone to approve of it. How do you know when you should be proud of yourself? When not to be?”

“Oh, lots and lots of things. I could go on, but I wouldn’t be keeping them a secret now, would I? I’m not...in the best place to have more people running after me.”

Where and when were you born? "I was born in Stormwind, goin' on forty-six years ago."
Who are/were your parents? “My parents were Thomas and Amelia Silverwright. They were both artisans in Stormwind. Falgrin and Dorawynn Ironbeak adopted me when I was about ten.”
Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? “Emily was four years younger than I was when she died, at the same time as my parents. Ah, Alexander was three years older than me. ... Thae Ironbeaks had five kids before they adopted me. Twins Falgrin and Harthur, Falgrin, and twins Noradrid and Moradrid. Both Falgrins 'ave died now, though. Mora is wild. Nora is kind. Harthur is... interesting.”
Where do you live now, and with whom? “I live in an apartment under Wildhammer keep with my wife M. Mindspanner, and my two kids, Nia'ala and Kixa.”
What is your occupation? “I'm an adjutant in the irregular military unit, the Servitors of Lothar, and aide de camp to the Commander of the unit. I have a research fellowship with the Stormwind Academy of Arcane Arts and Sciences. I also captain two ships, a small warship, and a cargo vessel.”
How would you personally describe your appearance? “Well, I'm short with a big nose and wavy hair. I can't manage to get a lot of pants to fit well.”
To which social class do you belong? "I was born into the artisan 'class,' which is just below thae noble houses. That's where I remain.”
Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? “I'm prone to colds and I have a very loose left shoulder. A stiff breeze could probably dislocate it.”

What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? "People think it's weird when I use 'hi' as an interjection, but that's what it is.”

Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? “There's thae 'hi' thing, of course. Off thae top of my head, I can't think of anything else. If I knew what was annoying, I'd probably stop doin' those things. (No I wouldn't.)”
Growing Up
How would you describe your childhood in general? What is your earliest memory? "Half my childhood was in Stormwind, in Old Town they call it now. My parents were stuffy, an' wanted tae be nobles. There were a lot of uncomfortable dresses and ribbons in my hair. Then I went tae live with thae Ironbeaks by the Loch. It was very typically rural. Farm work, big meals, goin' intae town on Sundays. My family there was very warm, an' besides my chores, I was basically allowed to run wild. My earliest memory was of me in the sitting room at home, alone, struggling to read a book of some kind that was beyond my ability to read.”
How much schooling have you had? Did you enjoy school? "I loved school. I had your typical schooling in Stormwind, and there was a one room schoolhouse outside of Thelsamar. I went tae the Academy in Stormwind off and on after I was grown, but I never got a degree or anythin'.”
Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? “I learned engineering from being thae smallest one at the logging camp that was my first job. So I hadda crawl under the platforms and work on the saw blades and other machinery when they broke. Josrain taught me to shoot a pistol and use a rapier. Thae... warlock stuff is another story.”
While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. “I don't think so. My birth parents were stuffy and boring and obsessed with their status. My older brother wasn't home much at all. Um. My dwarvish family was just too... different, at the time. I looked up to all of them, but role model? Maybe not.”
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? "I wanted to be a school teacher, or maybe a professor at the Academy. My parents wanted me to marry rich.”
As a child, what were your favorite activities? "I liked to swim in the canals in Stormwind. I read a lot, which got me into trouble, you know. With the Ironbeaks, I spent a lot of time with the sheep, riding and brushing them and feeding them.”
As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? “Ma says I was a wild thing. I remember being stubborn and contrary. The best way to make sure I didn't do something was to tell me I should”
As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like? “Not particularly. I kept to myself in Stormwind. At the Loch, I was really the only human kid around, so I didn't have many friends there either. I spent most of my social time with Nora and Mora, but they're twenty-odd years older than I am, I recall.”
When and with whom was your first kiss? “Some boy at the orphanage in Stormwind kissed me. I didn't want him to. I punched him afterwards."
Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? “No. I was seventeen maybe. It was with one of the men at the logging camp I worked at. At this point, entirely forgetable.”
