“Usually I’m resistant to illness, but I seem to have caught something. Curse my finch blood.”
”Mom does not understand what these Noxian clothes are. What does the drip mean?”
@unmovable-sovereign | Interruption?
*It’s not hard for someone to tell something’s up here. Ozen seems a bit more... distant than normal. Almost as if something rather major had happen within the day. Definitely a rare sight to be seeing the person you look up to in a state like this.
“...is everything alright?” Amel would ask curiously, “If I’ll be honest, you seem a bit... out of it.“
*Resting down his pack with the items in it, the black whistle simply stands where he is, waiting for an answer of sorts. There’s only a handful of things at best that Amel would think could put Ozen in a state like this.
@delving-into-mania | Manic Visitors
*Despite the obvious discomfort being around Zephyrine, Amel is very much holding strong in his composure. His expression unwavering, the wariness of whoever this was only growing within Amel as she explains why she’s... not exactly a known face.
*Listening to her continue though, that prior feeling of offness begins to have some sort of explanation. Amel’s eyes widen a bit as Zephyrine introduces herself.
“A white whistle?!” He seems rather surprised to be confronted by a white whistle, of all characters, “...delirium? Why in the name of the Abyss would someone like yourself be interested in myself?”
*More of a curious question than anything, the fact a white whistle has actually come and sought Amel out is nothing short of importance. The uneasiness from earlier is almost completely replaced by a sense of urgency. Why would a white whistle seek out a black whistle so far down in the Abyss?
@annihilyza | Surprise revivification
Lyza’s response would get a hearty chuckle from Amel, “And good to see so. If you’d go down, I’d be expecting to hear and feel the struggle all the way from Orth.”
“That I can definitely agree with. The whole of Orth would be eagerly awaiting you from the elevator if they knew you’re here and still kicking, strong as ever.” Then the comment on the whistle..., Amel’s smile drops near-instantly, “Haven’t found neither an artifact to call my own, or a stone to use for the whistle, unfortunately. Makes me wonder sometimes if you and the other white whistles already combed out all the good stuff.”
*He’s trying to hide a smile, but it’s very obvious he’s failing to do so.
@unmovable-sovereign | A cup of sugar?
There’s a rise of both Amel’s eyebrows as he answers, “Some sugar? Definitely. Though it’s a tad surprising to hear that.” A small grin forms as he continues, “With your strength, I’d wager you’d be able to carry the entirety of Orth down with yourself!”
“But yes, I can pick that up as I come back down. How about anything anyone here may want? I’m not planning a deep delve my next trip, so I’ve got a bit more room in my own pack this time around in case you know of anything specific anyone’s just wanted to have down here.”
((Srajo!))
the honest truth mah boi
“The Lord of Mystery? I’ll be completely honest here, I don’t know quite enough about him personally to really give a full opinion without pulling something out of the ass here.” Amel sighs, a more neutral expression forming on his face,
“But... that doesn’t stop me from being frustrated about others keeping secrets. I understand that there’s a good lot a white whistle may not want to tell, but at the same time... something bothers me a little when your white whistle title is derived from your secrets, or mysteries as many call them.” He pauses for a moment, “Though it’s neither here nor there. Who am I to question the legends that are the white whistles?”
*The last question gets a chuckle out of him, not seeming to really require an answer. But it does bring a hint of sarcasm, given the tone of it.
@cyberneticlagomorph
ARE YOU OKAY???
i mean, clearly not but
if you can figure out how to hijack whatever external connection lets me use this blog, you could come to redacre and see if being near-totally isolated from the internet helps
also isn’t iht fond of you?? could ask her about the whole Issue(tm) and see if she’s got anything close to a solution
i’m sorry the first thing i jump to with things like this is figuring out how to fix them
(P.S could @internmarce or somebody help me make sure this reaches jack? i’m not 100% sure they can read my messages from wherever they’ve ended up)
