“...Eh? You’re here again? Isn’t boring just sitting by the beach?” Seriously, what was this girl even doing? He may have dropped out of school, but she was just as weird as he remembered. He’d lost count of how many times he caught sight of her just looking out at the ocean but not actually going to Sweet Beach’s most famous tourist trap... jeez, did this commoner not know how to use her brain, or did she just not have one?

No... this couldn’t be right. After all of his hard work and hours spent training, his efforts were all crushed with one slip of the finger. The results on the screen flashed mockingly, with Izuchi as #1 and Kirai as #2. He had finally managed to corner his brother in a Score Match, but his fatal mistake during Soldier Game cost him his combo, the round, and most of all, his pride. 

And it was all this guy’s fault. After taking a moment to stare in shock at the screen, he shot the nastiest glare he could muster at stranger who bumped into him. “H-hey...! You better apologize!” He definitely wasn’t on the verge of tears; that would be disgraceful beyond belief.

“Hah? What’s with the getup? This isn’t a place for freaks, y’know.” Well, that wasn’t entirely true; his brother was plenty proof of weirdos living in Sweet Beach. Now that Kirai thought about it, he was kind of acting like Izuchi by chasing this commoner off the beach, wasn’t he? How revolting. He just wanted a quiet place to think.

A few more tweaks to the code here, and… yep, that was it. It was nearly perfect, as usual, just a couple mistakes from what was probably sleep deprivation. Normally Kirai wouldn’t be so gracious when dealing with this guy, but he did just help him with a few other projects. He supposed he could make an exception. That, and it was supposedly urgent (or not that urgent, since I don’t want to bother you!). Wasn’t he relaxing on a boat right now or something? Weirdo.

“Hey, you rabbit-eared freak. I’m sending your crap back.” Kirai pulled up the tab on Mutter, transferring the file back to Nanase. “Is this all you need checked? ‘Cause if it is, I’ve got things to do.” That wasn’t true in the least, but he always acted like this around the other. Eight years had passed but old habits died hard, he guessed.

Being a flight attendant at Delta Airlines was a thankless task, but at least he was able to inflict terror and chaos upon the innocent and those who would literally put up with anything. Today’s particular scrub was quite fun to pick on. He even ran after that expired meal voucher he threw; now that was dedication to being a doormat.

Oh well. That guy must have already been framed for murder by the help desk and was probably going to be in jail for the next thirty years. Not that it’d be very satisfying. He’d just smile and say, ‘Okay!’ 

The flight attendant idly messed with the apps on his BitPhone, not bothering to look up when someone approached the terminal. He sighed, making his exasperation known. “You can’t get on the plane yet. It’s delayed nine hours.”

“Oh. So it’s you.” Why was that freak here again? It was true he had helped him with programming in order to put the jerk in his place, but he wasn’t exactly welcome. Besides, couldn’t he see when someone was busy? Kirai closed the apps on his BitPhone so he could properly shoot an annoyed look at the weirdo. “What? What do you want this time?”
