“… Well look at that! A dead body!” He says it with a blank smile on his face. It seems like it’s barely registered to Bennett. “Humans don’t usually care for those, huh?”

There's a cold look on the blonde's face as he faces her directly. A twinge of sadness in his eyes, though it barely seems to reach.

A monster like him couldn't hope to ask for anything different, after all.

"We'll all go that way someday, after all. Still... we go on."

“If you’re alright with helping me, that’d be cool.” It’s a difficult job, and someone’s gotta do it -- but still, carrying all these things is a bit much by himself.

Either way, he won’t reject help.

“It’s real nice of you to offer, either way.”

“Eeeeeeeehhhhhhhh? We were just having a friendly chat, mister! They’re not bothering me at all!” Bennett’s eyes dart to the new face, trying to get a read on his expression.

It’s not like he could feel much pain even if he were attacked, but -- Hm... He guesses he can’t stop someone from protecting him if he is, though.

Even though he wants to believe he can protect himself.

“Nothin’ to worry about here!” But he knows that’s not fully the case, with how hostile that person was being. ‘Friendly chat’, sure.
