"  Wasn't  like  you  were  doing  anything  to  show  you  were  thinking  that.  "  The  master  of  smoke  rolls  his  eyes  soon  after,  glancing  over  at  the  new  obstacle  in  their  way.  "  I  could  just  leave  you  behind  and  make  you  deal  with  it  all  on  your  own.  But  I  can  be  nice  and  maybe  help  you  get  started  if  you  need  that  little  push.  "

[ mouth ] from Scarlet to Cinder

To  think  that  he  would  ever  have  someone  come  to  his  rescue  in  a  state  of  unconsciousness.  The  past  was  a  blur  for  him.  A  mess  of  fragmented  memories  that  felt  more  like  a  headache  to  piece  together  than  not.  As  breath  fills  his  lungs  once  more,  eyes  shoot  open  with  a  large  gasp,  followed  by  a  flurry  of  coughs  that  inadvertently  shoves  whatever  hovered  over  him  to  the  side.  Now  half-rolled  over,  he  finally  breathes  on  his  own  for  the  first  time  in...  however  long  he  was  out.

In  the  commotion  of  sudden  revival,  his  eyes  quickly  survey  the  area,  shoulders  tense  as  legs  begin  to  scramble  to  gain  footing.  His  gaze  finally  rests  upon  the  woman,  with  a  soured  look  on  his  face.

"  Where  the  hell  am  I  ?  "  Another  sequence  of  coughs  follow  as  weakness  washes  over  him.  "  Who even are you  ?  "
