Newsletters  &  pictures  couldn't  compare  to  the  beauty  that  is  one  Vivi  Nefertari.  Princess  Nefertari,  at  that.  Oh  long  have  they  all  waited  for  the  day  to  come  to  cross  paths  again.  So  much  had  happened  in  between  it  all.  Some  captured  upon  skewed  narratives  or  spoken  as  misremembered  stories,  but  nothing  quite  as  good  as  coming  from  the  sources  themselves.  There  was  so  much  to  share,  so  much  to  tell.  In  the  rush  of  visiting  island  to  island,  searching  for  the  one  piece  his  captain  sought  after,  leaving  a  trail  of  changed  lives  (  &  some,  rather  a  lot,  of  wreckage  ),  this  moment  felt  like  a  genuine  pause.  Allowing  the  seconds  to  last  longer  to  take  it  all  in.  Seems  like  it  was  the  same  for  her  as  well.

His  grin  couldn't  be  helped.  Excitement  swells  in  his  chest  as  offers  a  bow  to  her,  a  cordial  gesture  despite  being  such  an  unruly  pirate  as  the  rest  of  the  world  thinks  them  as.  Taking  the  initiative,  Sanji  steps  forward,  closing  off  the  distance  held  once  they  finally  saw  one  another.  (  Oh  how  the  rest  of  them  would  be  so  excited  in  turn  to  see  her  again.  )  Hand  outstretched  for  her  to  take,  welcoming  her  aboard  the  Thousand  Sunny.

The cook glances back to the scientist, noting the distance between them had grown larger since he last looked back. Just a bit further, he had thought, not realizing his pace had quickened at the thought of meeting back with the group before nightfall put a bit of a burden on her. ( To think that the day had passed by all to quickly. He nearly lost the time with how many fresh veggies & meats there were for sale. )

" Sorry, Lilith, " Sanji replies. He comes to a halt, allowing her to catch up quickly before he spoke again. " Guess I was a little too eager to put these ingredients on the ship and start making dinner for us all. Did you need a break ? The ship's not that far away. "

A burst of energy blossoms from his chest at her words. Little have they gotten to know one another but a chivalrous heart finds comfort & a surge of determination within him to continue. Sanji grins to Juvia, tying his apron behind his back as he finishes the preparations.

" His cooking skills are rivaled to such few chefs in the world to his knowledge. But to win the coveted rarity they had as the grand prize... well, he'd get bragging rights, & the perfect ingredient for his next dish.

It was just a yawn at first. His inspiration had gotten the better of him as of late. Now that he thinks about it, perhaps he should check back on the latest recipes he had scribbled away on & hadn't yet to test it out ( ever careful not to make something that wouldn't taste good & waste food ). Head turns to the lovely lady who displayed concerned for him, in which a reassuring smile rests upon his face.

" I got up extra early to get a head start on breakfast, " he replies, being a half-truth as he eases her worries. " It's so heartwarming for you to be so concerned but there is nothing to be concerned about ! So no need for that look my way. Perhaps I can treat you to something that will bring a smile to your face. Anything that you've been craving lately ? "

An  odd  question.  One  that  he  never  thought  would  really  cross  his  mind.  For  as  long  as  he  could  he  stayed  as  far  away  from  the  Vinsmoke  name  as  he  could.  Never  would  he  consider  being  in  the  same  island  as  them,  let  alone  the  same  room.

He makes no grandeur of it, setting aside a sack nearby as though it was nothing more than unneeded to them, only to reveal fresh foods, wrapped up meals, were discarded just for them. " Properly ? Probably the night before last. " Leave it to their captain to wake him at an ungodly hour at the sound of an attempted break-in to their fridge. A swift kick in the head nearly kicked him right out, but before he could fix the mess made in the kitchen, he had already caught said captain attempting to sneak into the locked pantry.

...Safe to say he played goalkeeper until it was the time he normally got up to start prepping for breakfast. There was effort to not appear exhausted by midday, & to some success he pulls off a refreshed ( or rather second wind ) appearance to the ladies when serving their meals. Perhaps it was that more irritable demeanor to every other unfortunate soul in his path that made it obvious. To which... Sanji simply shrugs after answering Ace. " If I don't find a time to rest in between then I'll just sleep after dinner like usual. "
