The female settled into the cozy chaos of the dormitory common room, her frame easily towering over the plush couches and low tables. The human form allowed her to move freely among the students without drawing as much startled attention as her full mermaid form might. Her eyes, a deep brown covered with blue scales and white spots scanned the room with a quiet curiosity, noting the various clusters of students chatting, studying, or laughing. It wasn’t long before she spotted Jade, sprawled across one of the couches with a book or sketchpad balanced on his knees. Sedna’s steps were careful, measured, yet confident, and she approached without interrupting his focus. “That’s quite an intricate design,” she said softly, leaning slightly to get a better view without looming too much over him. Her voice had a gentle mummer, carrying both interest and warmth.
Sedna’s smile widened, a genuine spark of excitement in her gaze. “That’s a very interesting design, is it some sort of magical artifact?” Her fingers brushed the edge of the couch lightly, the motion delicate, as if she were touching the surface of something fragile. The common room seemed to shrink around them as she was waiting to see if the male would engage with her questions as it was the first time she approached him to talk. The woman has easily seen Jade Leech around the dorm and campus, but never really approached him as she wanted to avoid Azul from all the rumors she had heard about the other. However, her curiosity had gotten the better of her today as she was trying to figure out if that was something he drew himself or from a book from the library.
