Soft glow of those vibrant blues observe him, noting the rate of his heart beating, the temperatures quietly scanned for anomalies, anything to ensure this wasn't an emergency. Shoulders seem to ease in the nindroid as he notes the way Kai's breath evens, letting himself linger around with his presence.

Words are spoken with a friendly simper, as if to coax the other into a deeper sense of safety. There were no dangers here at this very moment. Her words remind him of a home that he hasn't visited in some time now. Not a desolate wasteland clad in ice & snow, but a place not meant for the weak-willed to traverse nor live in. A place where he could never find the cold chilling, but instead a place of comfort. Though he leaves no marks upon freshly fallen snow, he's made his mark upon this homeland. Perhaps there will be a day he revisits, when things manage to stay at peace longer than a day or two.

The glow of his eyes focus into Cole's gaze, within each other's breath do they find themselves in. While most may be quick to turn away, blossoming a brightening shade of rose to their faces, Zane lingers close.

" ... I would like to try. " Hesitancy rests in him only to let the thought properly process through his mind. A momentary response out of instinct than his usual logical assessment. Not a matter of uncertainty. Truly, he does want to make it work. Perhaps that realization came forth much sooner than he could have ever fathomed. There was a desire there. A desire for a meaningful relationship that ran deeper than anything he's ever experienced before. While he will never discount the bonds he had made among the people he calls his friends, his family, he looks at Cole in a different lens. Metallic hand rests upon the other's cheek, cool to the touch as he closes off the distance between them.

Eyes flit shut as he kisses the other. It's gentle, testing boundaries between them than something full force. It's new territory to him, falling for someone who's far more complex than statistics and logic. Though a pillar he could always rely on, he still feels; he's willing to defy odds, even when compatibilities as partners has the chance to not fall in their favor. As lips part, he pulls back, offering a smile his way.

Kindness was a trait installed into him long before he even understood what it was. As he grew older, adapting to the world around him, that kindness only growing more & more prominent as part of who he is. As she speaks, the living automaton rises from a kneeled stance, letting the young child rush off happily back to her parent nearby with a small gift of a flower crown now adorned on her head. The comment she makes brings a smile upon his face, delighted in her acknowledgement. " I enjoy seeing the young smile, even when the world itself is not a safe haven. They deserve moments to enjoy. " Though likely forgotten as they age & find themselves, he can at least find satisfaction that in this moment, he can lighten the load on one's mind.

Chuckles bubble from his voice box, finding her words all too amusing not to acknowledge. " I believe if I said that, you would be telling me we do not have lungs, therefore no breath to catch, " Zane quips. However, he doesn't press for further explanation, letting her take a moment to... ' catch her breath ' as she puts it. Though, that doesn't stop him from the smaller gestures as he waits. Lifting her hand with his, he presses a kiss to her knuckles, then to her palm. Slowly moving down to her forearm, then back up to her shoulder, and finally to the side of her neck. He takes his time with each one, biding his time as she takes a moment in between. Zane returns face to face with her, smile ever-present when alone with her.
