This past weekend, my son and I stopped @vinateria for what he calls brunch and I call lunch. I am not a bruncher but my kids are digging it. He usually orders the same thing while I rarely do. He had his "usual", French toast and I ordered Bacaloa Fritters and a glass of Greek white wine. (I nailed the pairing! ) My son is not as adventurous as his sister when it comes to food but this day he surprised me. He saw what I had and asked what it was. I told him Cod fish fritters and that they are like little fish doughnuts with a spicy mayo/aoli. He asked to try them and actually loved them! He ate half of them and then asked me if I was proud of him that he ate both fish and mayo. All I could do was laugh. Yes, I was proud.
