Rereading Ice Apprentices as well as drawing a bit of In Stars And Time fanart and I had a thought.
If I had a nickel for every time a black character, due to circumstances outside of their control, is forced into a high position of power and notoriety thoroughly against their will causing them to feel isolated from their peers, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, Right?
Also, despite these two characters having that in common, they could not be more different from each other. I'll probably talk more about both of them in a reblog.
