(The different colors in the 'Alpha' titles means different flock alphas.)

Lightmare is also an older teen/very young adult and all of the 3rd gen are just kids~

Let us move swiftly on to the final part of the best story in the issue, in which Pyjamas has learned the truth about their new friend the hard way

We get a lot happening very quickly. Super Sonic’s memories have been unlocked and he remembers everything about who he is, but before we can see how he reacts to that, Ebony apologises to Pyjamas for not believing her and asks Super Sonic the truth about himself. But before he can answer…

…Biohazard answers the question for him

Ebony and Pyjamas looking at each other like, “Is that a rhetorical question, or…?”

We then get the reveal of the next major plot point: When Pyjamas unlocked his memories, Super Sonic’s powers returned to him. However, Super Sonic has the self-awareness to know that if he uses his powers, he could be overcome with the controllable urge to destroy once again. So he chooses not to use his powers

I knew I remembered that cop guy appeared again at some point! Here he is, solving the trio’s problem without realising that’s what he’s doing

We then get a really nice moment between Super Sonic & Pyjamas where she apologises for not trusting him earlier and he once again vows that he won’t use his powers, no matter what the danger

All’s well that ends well! Thus, the best trio in StC has now been formed, yahoo!

The sad part is that we don’t actually get that many more stories with them after this one, which I’m sure wasn’t due to a lack of fans asking for them. They were always characters I wanted to see each time I picked up an issue and they’ve remained some of the most popular from StC to this day. It always felt like a missed opportunity to me not to give them more. Then again, I guess there’s that one quote from that Disco Elysium interview that was like “something something desire is strongest when it’s not wholly satisfied something something”. All the same, I just… wanted more of them

BUT we do have some of them in future. Which is something I’m certainly looking forward to as I progress through the series for this blog

i was gonna practice drawing sidewinders gang and just got distracted redesigning lightmares AWFUL outfit and also. figuring out if theyre supposed to be snakes or lizards or just weird goblins.

My last question may have been a bit too big for unraveling, so how about this one that I hope will be simpler: Do you think that Lightmare, the Special Zone antagonist from Sonic the Comic, would have left her criminally-insane father, Lord Sidewinder, under the right circumstances?

I get that she was genuinely loyal to him, but you’d think that if she recognized how completely obsessed he was with Super Sonic’s power, then she would’ve left him in the right moment.

Thoughts?

Given that she was a willing accomplice of his and only turned on him once it was clear he was getting into something way, way over his head with potentially apocalyptic consequences? I'm not sure what the 'right circumstances' could hypothetically be. We don't really have much of a clue about Lightmare's personality beyond the fact she IS loyal to her father and has limits, but otherwise we cannot guess at those limits.

I would imagine 'under the right circumstances', sure, she could turn her back on him... but if she came THIS far with her dad without turning on him despite him clearly being power hungry beyond reason, I'm not exactly certain what those circumstances could be.
